January 14, 20233 yr Deuce Wallace. Great name possible size and pedigree. Sounds like a cfl player name.
January 15, 20233 yr If he gets released, the headline will read "Bombers drop a Deuce". Edited January 15, 20233 yr by Super Duper Negatron
January 15, 20233 yr On 2023-01-14 at 1:45 AM, Mike said: Bombers sign DB Deuce Wallace NFL.com says he’s 6’2”, Saints website says he’s 5’10”, everyone agrees he’s 210 pounds Kerry Joseph’s cousin Cousin? What is he like 55? I loved kj as a football player. Not the greatest qb but heart physicality and passion for days. hopefully it runs in the family. I can’t wait to see how Dobson develops. I feel like this will be a heavy ol draft for us as well. We usually seem to keep a futures guy kicking around that gives us extra potential and depth for a couple camps/ years.

January 16, 20233 yr I think someone mentioned last week that the Bombers had a few signings in the can, is Demski next?
January 16, 20233 yr Just now, bustamente said: I think someone mentioned last week that the Bombers had a few signings in the can, is Demski next? from your keyboard to the Bombers social media team...... here's hoping we see that one next. Walters said last week that he was supposed to be talking with Nicky D on Friday, I believe.... hopefully it's all but announced.

If that's the plan around announcements, I'm fine with that. It gives each returnee the limelight, interviews etc. Demski had better be next. i think I'd puke if I saw him in another jersey.
January 16, 20233 yr Author Trying this another way. Took the latest version of the Bomber roster and assumed that if a player isn't listed in 3DownNation's FA List, they were signed for 2023 (at least). Also took into account "stuff I've read". This may calm you or give you conniptions. I do not guarantee 100% accuracy. January 16, 20233 yr a lot of the heavy lifting done, with a few key names left on the board and then some foot soldiers to re-up if possible...
January 16, 20233 yr Jeffcoats return is very good news....If he's over the nagging injury bug that plagued him last year, look for another big year from Jefferson and Jeffcoat...The return of the Jeffs....like it Edited January 16, 20233 yr by Stickem

January 16, 20233 yr Happy to see Jeffcoat back. Now announce Demski on the 18th cuz its my birthday.
January 16, 20233 yr A few days ago, when Yoshi's re-signing was announced in the Free Press, and he was described as ecstatic to be here. He said that at one time, he was reduced to living on mayonnaise sandwiches with only $18 and change to his name, so this is his best life. From the sound of it, he will be a Winnipeg lifer. Good to hear.

Make the Bomber Defense Great Again. That way we can turn our DE's lose & protect our linebackers while stopping the inside run & pressuring opposition qbs.

Assuming that the two Jeffs are back and in good shape, all we need is a immovable nose tackle and a mobile outside linebacker.

January 17, 20233 yr We need a kicker who doesn't miss extra points... bring in Maher to compete.. oh wait he's missed 4 straight now

January 17, 20233 yr Personally, I'm a bit worried we're not really moving on from anyone. That list of guys we haven't brought back yet does give me some hope though. I'm thinking we likely move on from Taylor (he's gotta be finished after the Achilles sadly), Ellingson, Couture (wouldn't love this but if Dobson is ready, I trust it), Maston and Darby. That would likely free up some cash to make a splash here and there, especially since I can't imagine any of these names we've brought back in aside from maybe Willie got a raise. Hoping (selfishly) we hear some good for us, bad for him news on Schoen soon and then we can look at shoring up an extension with him.

They also need more effective rotation for the Jeff's to keep them fresh and off the injury list, as a good pass rush is the foundation of a good defence. The DE's they subbed in last season were not effective pressuring the QB. The good news is Hansen should be ready to roll but If Kongbo isn't coming back, I'd like to see them pursue Boateng in F.A., he's coming off a serious injury which caused him to miss all of last season, so he shouldn't be expecting top dollar.

At some point, we're going to head over the cliff with some of these guys, for sure. Listening to Walters, it's in his mind, but a 15 win team gets the opportunity to run it back. That said, we have brought in young talent across most position groups each season, so it's not like we're staying completely stagnant.
