Too soon?  Too many truly painful Grey Cup losses have taken the sting out of yesterday's loss already.

Time to look forward while we cope with the recent disappointment.  

Who do we keep?  Who do we let go?  Who do we go after?

I can’t think of another fan base in any league that I would want to have a conversation with the average fan less than I do with the Gappers 

Extending a coach who has won 10+ games in each of the last 6 seasons, gone to 4 consecutive West Finals, has teams who played in 3 straight cups with 2 cup wins for three years is a mistake? In the words of Bugs Bunny, What a maroon.

Just a moment ago the same poster that stated that our extension of ZC for 3 years is a big mistake, has now doubled down and stated that MOS for 3 years is also a mistake. SMH. You can't make up stuff to illustrate how delusional a fan base they are that is more golden than that. There is no sane reasoning as to why the Bombers would not lock up MOS. Even if the team completely aged out and started losing in a couple years, I could think of no better CFL coach to begin a rebuild with.

Maas could barely run an average scoring offense with the best QB in the league at the time in Edmonton…and he’s been markedly worse with any other QB he’s worked with aside from one playoff run in Ottawa.

An awful coach who probably shouldn’t be doing more than coaching QBs or maybe receivers.

What's interesting about a team locking up key pieces to a group that's won more than anyone the last 6 years? Kyle walters will be here until he doesn't want to be here anymore or the team falls completely off a cliff. Which comes first.

I actually think it's a comment about Wade, who has been vocal about not wanting to be in his role too much longer (though I think he wants to put on the greatest GC of all time in '25 before he goes)...

I mentioned this exact scenario about a month ago and was thoroughly shot down here.... The prevailing thought being that neither Walters nor Osh has shown any desire to do those jobs. 

President is an entirely different job than Head Coach.

Hiring Osh for pres would be a terrible move on more than one front. Makes no sense. 

Hell, hiring Walters for President could be terrible. Football ops and business are totally different. But at least Walters could be groomed for it over time. That could make sense.

The moves don’t make sense to me at all. They’re not promotions, they’re completely different jobs.

Yes, exactly. Farhan was also telling anyone who would listen that Walters was leaving us to take over his CIS school's athletic director position a couple years ago. He is, as always, throwing crap at the wall to see if it sticks.

That could be. Wade has made it pretty public that he would like to step aside.

Meh....President is a go between team management and the board of directors. Walters would likely be very good at it. It's about vision, and selling it to the bean counters on the board and then making sure it happens. Wally was very successful when he was in a dual role of Pres/GM of BC, I am sure that Walters could have equal success.
