That's a long one day contract

shouldn't knock Mourtada really...lets see what he does in pre-season and in camp...dude has the leg...just needs to re-acclimate to real football kicking, and a wider field...I'm sure he has been working at it all off-season already, and there is a reason he was kept around through to the Grey Cup

I don't see how a wider field impacts his ability to kick a ball straight through the up rights?   The guy had zero accuracy.

I'm honestly willing to give Mourtada another shot. He has a huge leg, and maybe with a full offseason and TC he can get the accuracy.

A wider field doesn't impact his accuracy but our hashmarks are further out than NFL hashes so it is a different angle.  All that being said, I think his problem was mental and maybe he just needs a reset.

kickers base angles and set ups via hash marks....amoung other things...so yeah....it affects a lot....his kicks were straight and true...just needed to recondition his mind to the new field

Well...

I have little doubt he was playing for minimum wage for the honour (?) of playing for the Riders. He can retire knowing that he did his bit to create the season the Riders had.

I would do it just to not have to wear booger green sports gear the rest of my life. I mean really, rivallry aside, is their a jersey out there that assaults the senses less than Rider jerseys.

Ryan was not a good CFL punter when he came back. I know that the Riders faithful thinking booming kicks into the end zone is a winning strategy but it wasn't. The Riders team knows this, which is why they are moving on.

However, Ryan had a long career and could have just retired after leaving the Seachickens. I doubt the money he got from the Riders made much of a difference in his life but he chose to come back to play for his home team. I have a lot of respect for him for doing something that he just wanted to do. Also, the Ryan's have donated money to the Regina Rams.

Without a doubt.

His comeback was just a laugh so he could boom it out as hard as he could each time without worrying about direction or situational punting.

If you are punting from inside your say 35 him punting is atleast a decent gamble. He will out kick the cover team but could flip field position in a huge way. Out side of that it's a lose lose deal.

I never got why he didn't devote time to kick offs. He could've been a specialist much longer in the nfl if he did.

His wife is comedian Sarah Colonna. She’s pretty funny and definitely edgy. She had my attention when she did a bit on shower sex.

Here's some Cancon from the Shrine Bowl for your viewing pleasure:

I saw that clip and I can't figure out if that's a really great effort from the LB, or a REALLY poor effort from the OL.......

Bad footwork on the OLs part, IMO. Too slow and got knocked on his butt because of it.

wildly over rated since he came back. They're definitely better off without him.

No thank you to Jon Ryan.

Mourtada was 8/15, so the accuracy of your statement is out by 53.3%.

Why not both? Big tall bastard got hit without his feet under him and down he goes. You'd be surprised how easy it is to make big tree fall hard if you're off balance at all.
