  • Also, Winston Rose was tied for the lead in interceptions last year with 5, and this year, he was all alone with 9 interceptions, 2 ahead of the much more ballyhooed Tre Roberson... Great job Win

  • I wouldn't trade Neufeld at all..that be the stupidest thing to do for several reasons..one he's one of the better guards in league...secondly he and Bryant are a well oiled unit..thirdly if we did an

There is also the ability to read how the blocking is developing in front and anticipating where the holes might be. I recall a BC player named Rocky Long who came into camp as a quarterback hopeful but had to sub as a kick returner when the usual one got hurt. Long wasn't fast but his spidey sense allowed him to be a darned good returner.

I was let down watching Walker on returns. He certainly didn't look fast like Lucky does, but maybe he just didn't have the openings. I would probably rather have someone quick than fast. Charles Robert's was never fast, but man was he quick and he got a lot of yards because of it.

I actually liked Walker returning punts... May not break a game open with the way he returns the ball, but really consistently gets you a solid 10-20 yards off every punt and catches em all in the air.

the one thing Walker did really well was go north south.....not a lot of jerking around and going backwards.

I should clarify, yes I liked his punt returning, I was just let down by the speed cause I was expecting to see it showcased with all the talk.

Grant looks decent, we certainly recruited speed this year

Fast- sure, fastest? nah.

Insane moves @ 1:14 though... so sick

Yeah could see one of the most explosive, but that doesnt grab clicks.

You cant defend speed. Especially in the cfl. In years prior we heavily recruited extremely fast athletic defenders. But more lanky wrs with good speed then speedsters. Ill take speed/quicks over size every day of the week.

Grant had pretty good results in pre-season for the ticats.  1 punt return for 14 yards and 5 kickoff returns for 120 yards.  Lets hope he kept his playbook.

2:41 and 3:02  are nothing to sneeze at either

10 years later and a different stadium but my tickets are still near the players families.

This memory popped up on Facebook today and gave me a chuckle...

"is glad that it's Shabazz's family that sits in front of us not LeFors'. No child should have to listen to people say those things about their father."

Remember the good ole days....when we were pining for more speed and size on O?

So I just finished watching CFL wired...WTF was that? Anyone else watch it? Jefferson was mic'd...but didnt even get shown once. The entire bomber ott game was focused on Ottawas punter!! Punter?? Wtf? Jefferson must of had some good lines? Even if they were going to focus on an Ottawa player, why the punter??

Maybe all of Jefferson's line is full of F*** so instead of bleeping all of it, they just cut off all his part.

The punter was the hardest working RedBlack.

I heard that Jefferson was quite animated in the way he expressed concern to the ref about having the Ottawa player's puke cleaned up off the field. I don't recall hearing any of it during the game but that would probably be funny as hell to hear.

That was disgusting to me to say the least. I saw it happen at least twice and the guy next to me said it happened three times. He was still a hell of a good back though lol!

If you have the game on your PVR you can hear it fairly well. Watched it a couple times for laughs.
