Okay, so the off season officially begins now that the Grey Cup is over. Lots of topics for discussion in the months to come with the Bombers & the League. A new CBA needs to be negotiated sooner rather than later.  Will there be an eventual agreement or a lockout? How much will the salary cap go up? Randy Ambrosie is on record that wants the cap to significantly go up so that is a positive.  Will Bo Levi Mitchell sign with an NFL or perhaps another CFL team? What about Mike Reilly & Trevor Harris who are also free agents? There's a new start up league called the  AAFL & there are legit concerns that it'll draw star CFL players away or hamper free agent signings with CFL teams. Coaching changes in BC & Toronto. The continuing evolving story of the expansion Halifax Schooners & possible exhibition games in Mexico.

I don't think DD will cost $70,000 for that. I figure all the Booster Juice and Stadium hotdogs he can eat will cover it.

I feel like this may be paying him more based on how much weight he's gained lately...

Rider fans crying because we won’t do them any favours. Jones and the riders left a sour taste in a lot of peoples mouths, why in the world would the Blue Bombers and Redblacks do the Riders a favour? Respect is a two way street.

Riders doing their best to rock the boat on other teams after they know coaching staffs have been set. They should promote from within & move on. Jones ****** them over. This isn't the Bombers fault.  Business is business.

Sure would be nice to hear from Paul and right from the horses mouth ...so to speak.....Who's Farhans source close to Lapolice.....the fly in his pants...This guy has been out to lunch on so many occasions it's hard to believe his take is credible ..Once again I'd like to hear straight from Paul on how upset he is...

 

Why the hell should the Bomber organization aid and abet that bunch....Their beloved Jonesie left them high and dry and somehow we should pay for it...Like the old guy on Airfarce used to say.......GET STUFFED

I hope this doesn't turn out to be a big story. I can understand why LaPo would be upset and I'm sure Elizondo felt similar as well. 

But still, everyone including LaPo needs to also understand the situation.

If Jones leaving this late in the offseason was such a big blow to the Riders, why would any other team WILLINGLY bring that on themselves too?

Sure doesn't sound like something Paul would do, he's too smart to ruffle feathers.  Awaiting his concise response.

I have no problem with Walters denying permission. It's 2 weeks until FA and all of a sudden 2 months of plans change overnight if the OC is gone. 

It's not Walters responsibility to appease his subordinates, it's his responsibility to field the best team he can. If Lapo wanted a HC job he could have had it 2 months ago. Shoulda woulda coulda.
Is it Walters fault that Jones walked and left a divisional organization in shambles in almost February? Christ no.

This is just business and I think Walters did the best thing for the club.

LaPo's been a HC in this league. He's been an assistant for a long time as well so I'mpretty sure he knows the score. If he doesn't understand the situation then he isn't very smart or very naïve. Why would the Bombers just let him walk away now? If he's upset you have to ask why? They let him interview for the Argos HC position so saying that the team is denying him the opportunity to be a HC is completely false.

I see nothing wrong at all with what the Blue did. If Lapo wants to go then he can leave next season when the club has time to find a replacement.

I highly doubt he was that upset.

I sure hope to hell he's not upset....The Bombers are doing what's best for the team...I'm sure Paul realizes that and is a team player...If he ain't???hmmmmm

Mission accomplished. They didn't mind him leaving the division but not to the Riders.  Ya I'm sure Paul doesn't want to make more money and only be 5 hours from home.
