Game Day Thread - Bombers @ Argos

The Bombers O is fine - Let's see if the D shows up ... it was just the opposite last week

Trestman's team has not exactly looked like defending Grey Cup Champions ... maybe they lost their horseshoes

Lots of weapons on both sides, O and D

The difference? Likely QB performance ... we will see

  • They try to do much during the game.  So tired of interviews starting between plays then continuing on during a play.   I tune in for the football game, not the other stuff.  Show me the damn game.

  • Really?  A sure handed RB fumbles the ball and you blame the coach?    That is on the players, not the coach.

Hopefully second half goes well and the usual suspects can stfu about Nichols for at least a couple of weeks

I just don't understand how a team that pissed away a 17-0 lead last week could have such a sudden lapse of concentration again.

Coaching.

Hurry up offence, trying to get points before the half, and Lapo runs three times. Wow. Like I said in the Lapo thread. Great creativity in his plays overall but his situational calling is absolutely terrible.

Couple of very unlucky plays there , the only Argo around and we fumble it right to him. Not going to blame Fogg he is usually very reliable just a bad break. TO does absolutely nothing comes out with 12 points...sad.

I understand players want to contribute in any way possible - but is anyone else concerned that Bennett plays special teams as our 3rd stringer? Is this common practice throughout the league for 3rd string QBs?

Yeah, it had nothing at all to do with the players not executing or taking dumb penalties.

Oops, forget the sarcastica font.

54 yard return for Fogg...  nice

Needed that. A bit of redemption.

Three ******* fumbles today.

Make that 16 points off nothing...the Argos have done nothing except get gifts...what a joke.

Franklin is going to be sick when he watches that on film. Wilder wide open in the flats, waving for the ball, but forces it to Cross on the corner route.

This, ladies and gentlemen, are why divisional records and points rankings are meaningless right now.  Who cares if we were ranked last?  The gap between us and SSK is virtually non-existent.

See where everyone is after 18 games, it's a long season and there haven't been that many divisional games yet.

That's the whole damn point.  People were needlessly getting hung up on our divisional ranking after last week

Bombers have made their hay in the second third of the season think they might be either 12-0 or 11-1 the past two years.

3 home games vs the East coming up, just in time.

Have to hand to the D today.  No Randle and they held the Argos to nothing offensively.

Great game plan eliminating Wilder Jr and passes were heavily contested more often than not.  I really enjoyed seeing our defense at work in this game.

Ours or Toronto's?

Bit of both?  The few times he got his hands on the ball he lost yards.  Bad play calling plus Winnipeg defenders ready for him all game long.
