[MERGED] WPG vs. BC - Battles to Watch

Yahoo we won .... we had multiple individual victories ... now the rookies have a week to unseat the incumbents:

I count 12 major battles for a starter spot (there are even more for backup spots)

DE: Roh

DT: Bryant

FB: Augustine

3rd QB: Bennett

RG: Spooner

P: Menard Briere

SB: Petermann

WR: Wolitarsky

DI: Lankford

DI/R: White

DI: Washington

DB: Gaitor

DB: Seisay

WILL: Wilson

We are not taking 70 players on the flight .... just the battlers ... MOS won't know who until he sees the film ... the O-line also needs to develop some cohesion and harmony ... Nichols may want a little tuneup time to get ready for the opener ... there is much to be settled next Friday

So how does Bighill look?  Slow and fat I would assume.

Personally, I hope Streveler starts. I'd like to see how he fares against BC's 1's and 2's.

Lucky Lager sounds like a quality product just by the classy name but I see that it has a 2 out of 5 rating in some beer rating sites. I never heard of it before but I will definitely keep an eye out for it in the LC. Just to make sure it does not hop into my cart like a suicidal fish.

You've never gone to a party with nothing but a six-pack of Lucky or a 2-litre of Stone Cold?

Geeze. Must be nice to come from money.

When I was in high school it was baby duck and "something" goose. IE Kool aid with vodka. Beer was too expensive. Bush parties with orange crush and rubbing alcohol like vodka. Oh no the old guy part of me has been activated.

Bighill looks great not NFL bloated at all. No need for laxative. He is going to make other teams player dirty their pants.

That would be "Gimli Goose" for fine wine connoisseurs....

The one thing other developing Bomber QBs haven't had around them is a good O-Line and decent receivers .... usually its been just awful .... what Nichols got to replace Willey was Travis Bond and a line that went from average to great ... I hope we take our first string line Friday night so we can see what we got in real life

BTW our D os going to be awesome this year as long as they are not beset by too may two and outs by our offence

Ross vs Streveler is the only battle that matters now.

Did you guys dirty your pants when you played the Lion's Bighill?

If Nichols is hurt seriously then you can bet the phones are being worked round the clock there in Jimmy Buffet's Mosquitoville

Which a smart GM is supposed to do.

I would certainly hope so.  But the options are pretty limited.

Depth chart:

Looks like they mixed up the weak side and strong side on the defence.

Couture at RT is interesting.  I noticed he was playing there in the second half last week.

Wonder why Ekakite isn't going? I was looking forward to seeing him get a lot of playing time tomorrow.

I thought he was a bit nicked up but it might be something else going on, not a good sign imo.  This is last chance highway for Lankford.

Same here.  I was looking forward to seeing how he responded to all of the 'bust' talk lately.

Good to see some of the guys that did not get a lot of reps last week will get a pile this week.

Doesn’t make much sense to me given the circumstances.  We should be trying to protect our new starting qb and giving him time to get on the same page with starting offense.

Or maybe our starting QB is staying home this week...... I sure hope anyway!

I don't mind taking that lineup. I do fear the over reaction if both Ross and Streveler look like garbage.

Wow, thanks for that.

I mean, you still have to properly evaluate the rest of the roster don't you?

Good to see that they are travelling all 3 of the Rifle players  (74, 76, 78)    I suspect that all three will get some decent playing time given the limited number of players going on the trip.
