Training camp is over .... adjustments have been made  and its time for the opening kickoff

Anybody change their minds on how preseason changed their expectations for this year .... Montreal thrashing Ottawa changed mine .... cutting Willy raise my hopes for the Argos .... Edmonton looks stronger than I first thought and Regina even worse

For the first time in years I am forecasting Winnipeg finishes first in the league  .. just an optimistic hunch .... I forecast these final standings:

Winnipeg

Calgary

Vancouver

Edmonton

Ottawa

Montreal

Toronto

Hamilton

Regina

 

 

 

 

Wasn't sure where to post this  but any further word on the Bisons OL in Green Bay? He apparently looked really good in one pre season game but was 3rd on the depth chart last I saw. Anyone read anything more?

He's credited with a sack in the last game...on his own QB! I'll try and find the clip.

Yup. It sure looks like he goes in there with every intention of finishing off his own QB. Funny.

Would have liked to have seen that play from beginning to end at game speed

I had read that he had graded very well in preseason game #1, but graded poorly in the second game. 

Doesn't sound like he did well last night either.

I really hope our commissioner is smart enough to not allow this to happen.

I'd never heard of this guy until today, but just........wow......

How can you even consider a guy like that. Hamilton's dumpster fire this year makes the Mike Kelly Regime look like Camelot.

Its not shocking for Ticats to hire this kind of guy, afterall they have Eric Tillman.

I have a hard time believing that the league would allow a player with a rap sheet similar to Briles onto a roster, this does not look good at all.

I saw this Art Briles news come up on the twitter feed on the side... my first thought "you can't be serious"...

Embarrassing for the league if this happens. 

Obviously, this cannot be condoned. You cannot have that mentality that winning supersedes everything else, especially criminal behaviour.

What a piss-poor decision by the Ti-Cats. Being winless looks even better on 'em with a garbage hiring such as this.

We can only hope that either our new commissioner or the Ticat owner will put the kibosh on this insanity.  We don't need to be know as "the Perp league".

That's a disgusting hire for the Ti-Cats. That's an embarrassment for the league. To even have considered Briles tells me everything I need to know about the current management at the Ti-Cats.  Austin-Tillman-Jones-Briles cannot be out of the league soon enough for me.

Art Briles is a heck of football coach and has a brilliant offensive mind.  He completely lacks a moral compass. 

Ridiculous hire. They already have 192 coaches there.....so they have to bring this guy?  Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.....and the balls at the same time. This will sure bring Hamilton fans flocking to the park.

One way you can take attention away from the total fail on the field, I suppose.   Inane and disgraceful.
