Much better punting from Medlock, so far...
Bombers getting pressures...but Durant putting ball on the money..
Huge sack from the odious Mr. Johnson....
Oh, THAT poor start.....33 net yards in first Q, and 3 first downs.
Dressler horse collared by the even more odious Cox...looks hurt...

Thank you so much for this, Do Or Die. I had to work tonight and couldn't watch the game but after Odds and Sods, I feel caught up. Great job!

Nichols summed it up well.   CFL is the Crazy Football League.

Thanks very much for a great report as usual.

This team is good!!!! 83 points in two games! Oh oh,  we allowed 85 points in those same games.  It's the "W's" that count and we should celebrate this game's success but (isn't there always one of those?)  this is no longer a bend don't break defence.  Are injuries making that much of a difference?

and the thing is, if Medlock makes some kicks that are within his usual range they coulda scored over 90 points in those games.

Ya but if Lapo was so conservative it would be over 100 for sure. :)

Surprise misses by Mr. Automatic.....could it be he was unnerved after the B.C. loss and is a little down on himself....That isn't Medlock and I know he'll be his old self next game....Have to shake those off and carry on...Horrible calls once again in the game last night...The one on Jeffcoat was a solid football play not roughing the passer...AND why did we quit on that play that Cunningham took to the one...Seems we were confused and they were sharp....strange for a Mike O team that usually capitalizes on other teams mistakes...That should have been our ball heading the other way.

I'm not convinced that Medlock isn't playing injured right now....but who knows....

Lost in the missed kicks last night was he had his best game punting since he has been here had average of 49.4 yards with a net of 42.2.

His punting was horrid against BC, and mediocre against Toronto. But, last night he was phoenominal in that regard.

he was BOOMING some of those punts.. one was a 55 yarder I think,.

We didn't quit. They just didn't see or figure on that play by that Alouettes player. That was a real heads up play. He had the wherewithal to locate the loose ball, and while jumping out of bounds, still manage to tap the ball back into play, all in a matter of a couple of seconds. Great football play.

Disagree that it was a smart play more likely a rookie who didn't know the rules.  If the ball goes out of bounds it's BC's ball, if he knocks it back onto the field, it's anybodies ball.  He got lucky.

It's only smart because it worked. Otherwise you're correct. But that effort was there..

that's a total fluke play. Als hustled for sure, so don't take that away from them, but that's a total fluke...

His hold man, Dressler, was injured so there's that too.

I know the officiating in our league is bad, but I think even they would've given the ball to the Alouettes, not the BC Lions.

Not only do you have an avvy of 'Cactus'....you are starting to mix up the teams like he did LOL...(Just yankin your chain Bannatyne)...I remember Wells calling a Bomber game at home and after he had more than a few had the Stamps playing Edmonton in our park...lol...He also used to give the race results from the track and he came up with this gem...'It was Jingle Balls in the stretch and down to the wire...and I'm not touching that with a ten foot pole" ...Quite a character was ol Jack

Funny you mention that...I was thinking the same thing watching him jog off the field. Looked a little off as he was jogging. Something possibly not right, but in the warm up at the half he was kicking it almost 50.

I personally think he hurt himself while playing "obstacle" on one of the returns a couple weeks ago......I don't believe the guy would miss as many kicks as he has lately unless something was wrong, physically.

I'm going to go on a little rant here......

In my section on the west side I sit with a group of STH's who have been together since the old place. My irritation with their negativity is beginning to get to the point where I'm thinking about moving to a different section. Last night the people behind me, who know more than the coach and gm, were unreal. Bitching about the offence, the defence, the coaching, and of course the ref's. Even after a good play they seemed to be able to find a reason to complain.

Man I was happy when the left, and I gotta say even happier when we won!! Next home game I'm going to tell them to leave even earlier, cause it's clearly beneficial to the team!!

I guess I just feel like we're supposed to be fans, so let's cheer on the team. If nothing they do is going to make you happy, then don't bother coming.
