  1. I played a bit of junior hockey, and everybody else on the team being superstitious made me superstitious. I started putting my equipment on the left side of my body first, and now I do it with shoes, clothes, etc. It actually bothers me to see somebody put their right shoe on first.

It's weird b/c it brought me no luck in my hockey life, so I gained no perceived benefit from it, but I can't not do it now...

  2. O'Shea's answer to the "sex during Grey Cup week" question:

“Well, it’s been eight years since we’ve climbed into this position, and another 29 since we finished the job. So there’s going to be some nerves, and the expectations are very high, and the anticipation can sometimes ruin the event,” O’Shea said. So I guess my guidance to the players would be don’t exhaust yourself in warmup.”

and it finally dawned on me who he throws like when I was away in cali and seen players up close and its Phillip Rivers..and he has done just fine..and that throwing motion is less likely to have shoulder issues..as shown by his relatively healthy career

Absolutely. The first time I saw him throw I thought of Rivers.

Not that I'm a professional qb, but I've thrown the ball like that for years now, and it's much easier on your shoulder and elbow.

there's only 1 Postmedia beat writer who covers the Stamps for both the Calgary Sun & Herald. His name is Danny Austin. I follow him on twitter. He's constantly tweeting about the Stamps & he engages anyone who comments.  The guy likes CFL football & does a good job covering the team. But that's it. No one else really does. The sad part is he's from Toronto & he has more passion for the Stampeders than the rest of the media combined.

I follow him, too. I agree that he does a good job.

Doesn't say much for the rest of us; especially the Lions.

What are your thoughts on that?

I'd give Claybrooks another.chance, but look for better asst coaches.

Edit: quoted wrong post, meant thoughts on hiring Maas.
