I’m pretty confident we’ll play two Canadian recs. I’ve seen nothing from this season to make me think we’ll get away from that. I’d like to see Bailey take some reps from Lawson & Thomas. Move Vaughters inside occasionally and play three des.

I’ve also coached for a long time and agree with this take. The competitive players want to win. They’d prefer the other starters not be lazy assholes, but in the end they mostly just want the best team on the field.

Dakota gets pretty much every good player from the Southeast part of the city. The Mustangs recruit players as kids, who then go to Dakota.

Crum seems to be able to make things happen with this supporting cast.

Mauldin was the next great thing in 2022, but couldn’t sustain it. Now he’s just a guy. I would’ve been fine taking a chance on him, but not ready to fire the gm over passing on him.

That will never happen when we’re hosting the Cup. We’re still in a playoff spot. I don’t like our chances, but I can’t fault that mindset. When’s the last time we’ve tried a fake on st’s? Maybe run a fake on one of those punts from midfield.

Love Streveler, but he’s not good enough. Not sure how that can be argued. If we roll him out again next week, I might have to join the group wanting a coaching change. Find out what Wilson is now so we’ll know before the offseason. I’m not optimistic, but I’d like to see.

He has as many games under 30 yards as he does 100+ yard games, but when he goes off he really goes off. He seems like kind of a **** too. No argument he’s not better than anybody we have though.

IMO you want to be either in contention at the top or at the very bottom. Bottom out, draft your franchise player, and climb the ladder again. CFL is obviously different, as the draft isn’t as important as the bigger leagues.
