I think most of us don't really care about his age.  Our concern is if he's going to be good at coaching CFL QB's instead of the NCAA/NFL type QB's.
 
I don't care who our QBC is, as long as he's good and can teach them some things to help them progress, I'm all for him.
 
...and as long as Boltus was just some fluke that he couldn't teach...I'm good.

I'll be a happy guy if they *DO* bring McCune in .. been eyeing him as a replacement for Muamba since it was apparent he was gone .. and, like others have mentioned, he's a bridge .. he's not a long term answer but it shows that Walters and company get it .. they are intent on acquiring veteran guys who can fill leadership roles .. who are performing at a high level .. and allow the younger guys to get reps and grow into a role .. that's been the one gap we've had over the last number of years .. not respecting the impact of quality veteran leaders .. guys who have "been there" ..
 
Also would be nice to have a guy, in the middle of the field, who punishes people.

Love this move. Walters has already done more in 6 months than Mack did in 4 years ...

I remember watching Dieter & Clements. Two completely different qbs but they sure got the job done. When they got on a roll late in a game it was such a treat to watch them go to work. Brock the strong armed qb who loved to throw from the pocket & could zip the ball into a small space with deadly accuracy & Clements the tactician & scrambler.  A guy who could make chicken soup out of chicken feathers. I don't know what Bomber fans would do now if we had a qb who could put the team on his shoulders & carry it like those 2 could. Or get us a win in the clutch when he had to. We'd be speechless after years of watching failure after failure after failure at the qb position. Let's hope Drew Willy is finally the dawn of a new era. We deserve it.

Actually agree with quite a bit in this article, unfortunately the optics for the organization of not being able to get him signed here will not be good I fear. Fair or not Walters and Miller have to deal with the legacy of both Mack and Kelly. They need to sign him to show the difference they will provide to the way we now will operate (ie. spend some money for the sake of winning).
