  1. I'm waiting for an announcement like this: HOGAN NOT RETURNING! For Immediate Release November 21, 2025: The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today that Offensive Coordinator Jason Hogan will not be returning for the 2026 season having decided to pursue coaching opportunities elsewhere. Head Coach Mike O'Shea thanks Jason for his hard work & dedication to the team. "Jason was a hard working & extremely knowledgeable coach who has an unquestioned work ethic & passion for the game. He worked well with me & the rest of the Bomber offense, in particular Zach. I wish Jason nothing but the best in his future coaching endeavours".

  2. He would have with constant slide protections...moving line and pocket and throwing from different points on the field....sprint and roll outs as our basis of attack....or with a scheme where we didn't basically eliminate parts of the field and have some receivers basically schemed out of any benefit...we were screwd from get go due to an OC with zero clue

  3. Which is just another head scratcher. It was completely predictable that he would not fare well behind this year's OL.

  4. I love to counter pressure with asymmetrical sets and heavy motion. Really put the secondary in a bind. Use ncaa style fast rpo, no step or one step throw screens. Throw to the area the defense vacates to pressure, or take advantage of miss matches like slot on lber or rb on db in hitches and quick hitters. Mesh is great vs pressure too. They to running vs pressure is to vary up the run touches to keep the D off kilter. Wide and outside zone are great to punish over pursuit, and draws. People tend of thin of draw only as an inside run from the gun, but you can delay toss to punish the edge, you can run search with delay or off a pump fake etc.

  5. I'm all for a vet who can play and is still athletically gifted...a couple guys here are not Actually this morning was working out the steel with the devil with Gavin Walls...that dude could probably still play and looks better than when he retired...we did some dline talk...and he even mentioned he wasnt sure what they were intending with out ends but they definitely were not being turned loose and he would have hated being in that role...and I sure our ends this yr felt the same...hopefully next yr things change

  9. Streveler & Schoen can play elsewhere. If we bring them back we're in big, big trouble.

  10. Can I talk with you out back?
    3 points
  11. Yeah I will be blown away if I ever see Schoen and or Streveler playing in the CFL again. Which is a true shame.

  12. Legit thought that was a frame grab from this video. Fair warning, prepare to go down an Electric Callboy rabbit hole if you are new to them.

  13. As coach used to tell us...let em know u there...u hurdling a guy on the ground..u give the ribs a lil tap...see a hand...u step on it... Yeah...there needs to be a new oc mind come in and evolve into that...use a true TE on routes...power run game with multiple looks...multiple options...with guys like Bo here..MCi..CLercius...Demski...Add a Philpot or a cruiser like Scott III to the mix...against a unsuspecting defense coordinator ..good luck with yiur undersized Lb crew handling that for 60 mins...and the secondary would part like the red sea for your burner ...twitchy receivers as they try to adjust to the meat tenderizing they getting exposed too

  14. I would love to see someone run that style of O though. With legit big TEs and Brady and demski in the back field, with a QB that can run. Two big body Wrs. Today's CFL defenses would have a hard time with that.

  15. Controlled violence...much needed...indeed....both sides of the ball Our back end on defence this yr..was the biggest group of powder puffs in the league..no intimidator at all We need another Stick...BEnnie T...heck even a Bovell to crush souls and make guys question the decision to prance thru our zones...teams had nary a care in world

  18. People are insane for wanting Brady and Holm to be gone.... seriously why would you dump young Canadian all stars? It's almost like fans are wanting this team to be dead last? Cut the old guys with big salaries if you want to trim the fat.

  19. None those 3 should be back...ever Houston i forgot about...id have him back but has to earn his spot and be head and shoulders best CB in camp Do the veer baby lol

  20. No viable option? Terry Wilson might have been able to save the game, but we will never no and O'Shea made sure of that. He will do so again, given an opportinity.

  21. One hit to the knees & both guys are done. Again. Bringing them back even after a 2 year absence is madness. Time to let them go. Rehab whatever they are entitled to & then cut them. Nield would be a welcome addition here. He can run downfield & make contested catches. Clercius is a tank. And runs like one. Can any former Rider receivers ever find happiness in the Blue & Gold? Would we Bomber fans accept Emilus or Nield? Look how hard it was for both Ryan Smith & Weston Dressler to play here. There was always a small group of Bomber fans who never forgave them for being former Riders.

  22. When they played him at WR & not inside. I've seen Galapagos tortoises with more speeds & moves than him. At their age, taking that year of means both careers are over. Both have had multiple knee injuroes to the same joint. One is bad enough but 2?

  23. not corner related?? Did you see how often Bridges, then Bonds, then Lawson were torched? And how whenever opposing teams needed 6-10 yds they just threw the quick out? We gave up a lot of deep passes and on almost every one a corner was beaten

  24. ....watch out for this guy if you make fun of his work-out routine....he could hit you with his purse

  25. Outstanding although imagine it with a little less definition than this guy has.

  26. Realistically hes not going to be 100% until 2027. I just dont see any CFL team having interest.

  28. Hard to say about Holm, how much of those times he was exposed was due to having new and underwhelming corners. I would be inclined to let OShea and Walters determine worth
    1 point
  29. Thats something also that ZC was never good at really either. Yeah...Holm is good...the best...irreplaceable....hardly Osh made a comment about him and fans and media just ran with it....re-watch every game...he got exposed more times than he made impactful plays...or teams schemed away from him...if anything they attacked his side of field more I don't say we have to dump him...but if we can get better...or even as good with a younger guy...a physical one as well...for half the cost almost...u do it We havnt won a cup with him so not like he was a lynchpin on defence People need to realize if u can get better...and ar game time fix the sms...u do it..

  30. As crummy as it is to lose Bucky, at least it's happening now as opposed to later in the season. I'm actually looking forward to seeing Milic play. He was phenomenal in that world junior tournament in Halifax in 2023

  31. No surprise there. The ******* Jets. They'll work out a corpse if they think the dead guy or Jake Thomas will help them.

  32. DB is an interesting discussion. I think you need a couple of vets back there. So def holm and Nichols back. I’d also bring back Houston to compete at corner but corner looking like couple rookies there also. Maybe I’d transition holm to safety. Allen to corner. Nichols at HB. Then rookie HB with Houston at corner. you need a couple vets back there. I’m not sure Tony Jones in the middle Is the leader of D like AB was and Allen certainly isn’t as a rookie like BA was. You need some vets. I think LB is interesting cuz it looks like you got a SAM and maybe Middle or a Kyrie LB Canadians so maybe you start them and flip the ratio there right. 2 starting cdn lbs would be big. maybe it’s smith Jones Shea. But I think smith shea woodbey with the versatile lb/db in griffin there also seems better. Gotta draft 1 LB this year. Maybe 2. Novak is around tho also and looked ok when he played. So I think yeah. LB should prob be 2 starting Canadians. DL? All American. Just ******* do it. Give me some Baltimore ravens vs Shedur Sanders ****.

  33. It would be a huge risk signing one or both with the multiple knee injuries they have suffered in a salary cap world. Losing them again would have serious negative implications that it really isn't worth it anymore. It's to the point that it's not a matter of if but when they reinjure themselves again. And I feel I can speak of this based on the knee injuries I suffered when I was younger & the 2 knee replacements as well.

  34. So, along with your qb & five offensive linemen, the Double Wing has two running backs, wingback, tight end & two receivers. Yeah, that was a progressive offense. I'm sure Frankie Filchock & the rest of his 1949 Grey Cup champ Alouettes were all in on that.

  35. dequoy is 5-10k more and waaay better. Even pickett is comparable to dequoy. When you look at the dbs making 140-160k, you expect premier players at that position. Not a guy like kramdi. His over pay isn’t any where near as bad as wj, or ford or a bunch of guys around the league. The problem is really we got 3 dbs making that kind of money and 1 guy who is at that level.

  36. Is that a shot at tui downfield eli???! lol I fully believe that a team that invested in talented big athletic Te(s) and 11/12/22 formation would be at a massive advantage. Especially with a fast qb who can run.

  37. thankyou but I saw enough of Bridges, Bonds and even Lawson jt last year to not want to lose any of Allen, Nichols, and Holm. I'd also keep Houston.

  38. Speaking of extra blockers, there’s a decent TE (Rohan Jones) in this draft who might be worth looking at. I’d rather use a guy who can potentially make a play than adding additional olineman.

  39. I think you can when the cbs and safety are on rookie deals.

  40. I fully understand that it might be time for Jake... (Tho I believe the issue is more how much he was used, but he may have to be moved on from entirely in order to keep him off the field too much.. similar to Bighill last year...) Paddy and Stan... I'm not sure what they have left in the tank but I trust the OL coaches to know best. Koala... They clearly see something we don't. But it sure seems to me like we can do better there. But again, I have to trust the OL coaches. Costello knows more than us. I feel like we can PROBABLY do better than Tony Jones but I think they're pretty committed to him unless they magically find a superstar a la Bighill in 2017 (??) to step in right away that's clearly an upgrade. Kyrie had a fairly productive season and managed to stay healthy.... But can we upgrade at that spot? Schoen and Strev... It might be time to cut ties. Love em both but those knees can't be trusted. Other than that, I'm not sure what really jumps out at me that we NEED to move on from.

  41. I completely agree. Not sure what the thinking on that is at all. We need to get rid of guys that are not performing and old not young and excelling. Same goes for a very reasonably priced Redha Kramdi. He is a bargain right now. Booch hasn't liked either guy since day one, and refuses to admit both guys have turned into pretty darn good players....but MOS is the biased one...lol.

  42. yup, him Nichols and Allen should all be back next season.

  43. Combined income of 380k according to press reports at the time of their signings. Replacing them with 3 rookies you are looking at 220k and losing a NAT starter and all star DB. Probably not where I would trim the roster with the exception of Thomas. There are 8 other teams in this league that would jump at Kramdi at 135k. That is not a high contract for a NAT at all.

  44. ANYONE WITH THE ABILITY TO GRASP A BALL WAS A BETTER OPTION THAT COLLAROS

  45. If you had Demski, Clercius and Nield at WR, you could go 3 american Olinemen and you might be better overall.

  46. I'm not arguing that ZC over Brown was for sure the right call at the time. What I disagree with is that it was a slam dunk that every team would have made the move to Brown. Zach had just thrown 33 TDs in 2023 and narrowly missed out being Winnipeg's MOP nominee. Was back to back MOP in 2021 and 2022. If Dru had one more year on his contract and played like that in 2024 while Zach struggled I'd agree with you.

  47. Like every team in the league the long-term hope at QB is the neg list. Not a lot of teams are grooming back-ups to take over. That's why we're still watching Bo, Zach, Faj, and Harris play. Only recent success there is Alexander and Rouke. I guess Kelly too for one and bit seasons.

  48. They regularly started more Canadians then they needed to. If they aren't in the running I'd be shocked. I suppose that depends on your definition of "tweaking".
