On Hustler and Lawless they briefly discussed this with Steve Simmons and the consensus was that Jones' refusal to directly answer questions regarding a potential move to Saskatchewan this off-season to take the position of GM/head coach means he is as good as gone in Edmonton for 2016.

 

I wonder what the Riders are willing to pay?  $500,000? $600,000?  Maybe even $750,000?

The hiring of Chris Jones as HC/GM does give me some degree of satisfaction - I'll more readily be able to keep my dislikes under the Rider banner. So, there's that.

Jones worship is already in top gear... apparently, he discovered Odell Willis...  the guy is a personnel genius.

At this point, I think this is getting blown out of proportion by the media. I don't think this realistically has the legs they are trying to give it. I would think the likelihood of Jones going to the Riders is slim. It would be insane for the Esks to let him go....and they don't have too.

He can bring in International players but to rebuild the Riders Canadian starters & depth will take time. I wonder if he really knows what he's getting into?
