July 26, 201510 yr I don't normally over react like this but I don't see this team improving under him. Hanging his hat on too many people that haven't performed like Brohm,Bellefeuille
August 15, 201510 yr Stoudemire hesitates too long, runs back to much and makes some bad decisions. He ran into the tackler on one play, like ran right up to him versus trying to get outside to the right.
August 15, 201510 yr He kick off returns were also poor tonight, he does seem to be hesitating a lot this year.
August 15, 201510 yr Yeah multiple times tonight there were 3 Argos and no blockers to be seen around him.
August 15, 201510 yr I'd take Veltung in a heartbeat. I've seen enough of the poor decision making and east-west returns......
August 15, 201510 yr Special Teams is not good. No blocking help for Stoudemire at all. 1 vs 3 or 4 most times. Cost us a TD today too. Still think the Kohlert fumble was the nail in the coffin tho The Kohlert fumble was bad but we were already losing at that point anyway. Final nail in the coffin, for sure.
August 15, 201510 yr Special teams TD was the killer. Can't have these breakdowns every week. Can't have em dammit!!!!!

Kohlert was stretching for the first down, and although I didn't like the result, I can't fault the effort. That sort of thing is going to happen when you push. The kick return is what killed us, but the O-line once again just wasn't good enough.
August 15, 201510 yr Close games come down to a few plays. The 70 yard punt return and the missed TD to a wide open Demark on the first set of downs are a 14 point swing that we couldn't overcome. Stuff happens. The real worry IMO is the fact that we self destruct when we make mistakes. We fumble on the next set of downs after the punt return. Then we turn it over on downs the next time we get the ball. Then we try to get cute on 3rd and 1 and turn it over on downs again. That's 3 turnovers in about 5 minutes. Can't do that if we want to be a .500 or better club.

In my opinion the roughing the kicker call should not have been, as the bomber player was blocked into the kicker. I realize they had to kick anyway, but it was a fresh set of downs and more time on the field for the defence on a very hot night. But the real killer was the return, then the fumble then two two and outs. Toronto though has been very adept at coming back from deficits in the 4th quarter of games.
August 15, 201510 yr You can't fire everyone, so you get rid of Pat Tracey since MOS can deal with that role, and bring in a consultant for the Offence to help out MB. Then Walters needs to get him and his guys into gear and find us some cast off talent from the NFL.
August 15, 201510 yr Last time we brought in a consultant to help the OC we got stuck with MB so lets not go there
August 15, 201510 yr Last time we brought in a consultant to help the OC we got stuck with MB so lets not go there So you would have rather us had Crowton stay on as OC? At least with MB we got a mediocre OC instead of a shitty one. If you can bring in someone better then MB as a consultant, it can't hurt. And you don't have to keep him. Montreal brought in Garcia as a consultant and he didn't stay.
August 15, 201510 yr Guys that don't have jobs when both pro leagues are in full swing are coaches that are not worth it, no it's better to stay as is and then clean house at the end of the year. Again

The final turnover I don't put too much stock into, that was a desperation play that didn't work because the Argos D started to blow up the Bombers OL in the 2nd half of the game, but the kick return was a huge mistake and the fumble on the next series was the dagger in the heart. This team needs to work on it's mental toughness and ability to rebound from errors.
August 15, 201510 yr Can't keep firing coaches every 2 years. Just can't. OC can go and sp teams coach but the rest shouldn't.
August 15, 201510 yr Stoudemire has been awful since his return, he hasn't even been close to breaking one or even looks capable of doing it, not sure what has happened to him.
August 15, 201510 yr Stoudemire has been awful since his return, he hasn't even been close to breaking one or even looks capable of doing it, not sure what has happened to him. He's trying to take it to the house every kick. Watch him he always tries to get outside, when he does get past the first wave he's always slowing down looking for that huge lane. I'd rather see him just catch the ball and run full speed ahead and get whatever you can. To me there's more chance of busting one doing that if your guys get their blocks than looking for the perfect hole.
August 15, 201510 yr I'm still a fan of Mike O'Shea and believe he deserves more time to right the ship. He just needs to be surrounded by the best coaches available due to his inexperience. Plus I don't know of an assistant coach out there that I'd rather have as a head coach.
August 15, 201510 yr Guys that don't have jobs when both pro leagues are in full swing are coaches that are not worth it, no it's better to stay as is and then clean house at the end of the year. Again Kind of like how Jeff Garcia wasn't available for the Al's last year? Oh no, wait. He was. And now he's an assistant OC in the NFL.

Again Kind of like how Jeff Garcia wasn't available for the Al's last year? Oh no, wait. He was. And now he's an assistant OC in the NFL. Garcia was still thinking about playing last year. That was a pretty unique circumstance. So unique that it's not even worthwhile to try to use to make an argument.
August 15, 201510 yr I think O'Shea will get one more offseason of coordinator firings (Bellefeuille and Tracy), before O'Shea is let go himself. GMs usually get one head coach firing before they are under the microscope, so Walters is likely around for a while.

Montreal brought in Garcia as a consultant and he didn't stay. That seems to be the problem with the organization. They seem satisfied with mediocrity like it's some kind of major accomplishment. Hey MB might be one of the worst, or possibly the worst OC in the league, but at least he's better than Crowton!
August 15, 201510 yr Firing coaches doesn't do anything if you can't put enough talent on the field to win in the first place. That's a systemic problem with the organization and the main reason for failure.
