Would you get fired for drinking at work? Maybe. But I find it strange that a guy with a good reputation as a coach would suddenly start drinking in front of his players. It just doesn't make sense. But lets be honest - some places dont mind a couple of drinks at lunch but most do. I used to work for a place where it was okay to get a hummer in the bathroom. Doesnt meant thats the norm. Did the club make beer available in the clubhouse or did he bring it in himself???....If they came off practice and it was hot or muggy and the guy doesn't drink pop but was reeeal thirsty...
