I’ve been critical of Zach and O but that was a great job of managing the clock to get us 3 points. Masterful job.

  • did enough to win, i don’t think we would’ve beat any one else with this effort

0:00. Bombers had to snap the ball with like 4 seconds left.

I thought the Bombers had the ball on 1st down with less than 40 seconds to go. With the new rules I thought the clock shud have run out NFL style.

Thought the last 3 minutes it was back to the 20 second clock.

Redblacks play Al's my mistake

So the Al's may still put up 50, just not against us.

I thought they played alright. Defense had the costly penalties and big play in the fourth but for the most part held in there. Bent but didn't break. In a tough spot when Ottawa got that big return before half and was on the 11.

Offense looked better but a long way to go. Condell deserves a lot of flack but there were a lot of player mistakes tonight. Collaros was off on a few deep balls early, Pokey had the TD drop, etc.

Lots of good and bad from tonight but more positive than negative.

Still normal timing rules under 3 minute warnings. If Bombers would have taken knee on 1st down with 40 or less seconds left the game would have been over.

Well they play the Redblacks so there is a good chance this happens. I’d take the over…

But Edm could easily hang 50 on us. That’s what scares me.

Did I hear correctly that our D has only 3 int's this season including the gift in the 1st quarter? Yikes!

Our O is so anemic and one dimensional. I was going to **** on Cobb on that extremely lame attempt in the 1st quarter... but watching Pokey drop the easiest TD and being extremely lazy on the late game deep ball... those are the plays that a guy like Schoen/Lawler make 99% of the time. White does what he does well.

Also outside of the late game deep ball to Demski... the last 3 coaches we had always used to call the deep post to Demski with great success... why not this season?

Kelly succccccccccccccccccks badly as bad as we was in pre season. K Wilson also succccccccccks badly.

This club is very boring to watch these days... no big plays at all and a whole lot of settling both on O and D.

As for Ottawa... Maier isn't as bad as people say. The complete lack of run game is insane and that D is in serious trouble.

Just want a win... If we barely win every game the rest of the season, I'll be plenty happy. After the debacle of the last 5 10 minutes vs BC, I'm not expecting miracles... But a win will keep the toxicity down a little bit for another week ..

This is Ottawa. We should be expected to win. Not Saskatchewan or Montreal. Really, what kind of a team did we beat? One that hasn't won for a year. And looks like it could go another year before they win again. Lordy, if the Bombers had lost. Our next 6 games are against Edmonton, Montreal, Saskatchewan back to back, Toronto & Montreal. They way we looked offensively last night other than Oliveira running wild, we could be 5-10 by the beginning of October.

That first drive interception by Reese was a game changer. Had the redBlacks scored, they might have been filled with confidence. instead, that just took the wind out of the Redblacks sails.

Dinwiddie has the look of someone who has no idea how to fix the mess that is the red Blacks

He'll need a lot of time to do it. This isn't an easy fix. I bet Bob dyce is glad to be outta there.

I truly think the only potential win is vs Sask at home because it is tough to beat a team in a back to back. The defence will get torched and Collaros will likely not start all 5 games with the porous oline and his mobility. I hope I am wrong.

Missed the game but watched the recap. Looks like more of the same, but we won because Ottawa?

Receivers are honestly the least of the Bombers' problems. The OL is wildly inconsistent. Huge props to ZC for gutting it out back there. And to Brady O for making chicken salad out of mostly chicken ****.

Have to disagree...easily worst group in league...and not even close

And then you have a flawed offensive game plan and play structure and makes it even worse..we dont have 1 legit #1...id say its tough to even say we have a legit true home run hitter #2...not in any consistent fashion...

There are also ways to get more out of a smaller oline..limited in ability oline...and aging oline...but we too stupid to do it...or see it...Osh sees it as a circa 2021 oline..sees that in lotsa guys outside line too

If Dinwiddie needs a side hustle he can lead Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve.

Or the Grinch with those yellow teeth.

At least, we will not be the first team to lose to Ottawa.

Going back to last year, they've lost 15 in a row which is apparently historic.

Our receiving corps are a bunch of nice pieces, but as a unit are hugely lacking. Lacking those 1-2 guys that can bail out the QB. We basically need the ball to be perfect from the QB. We have no consistent vertical threat, we don't have anyone that can those physical routes. Hard dig into the field from the boundary. We ran one to Wilson last night that Zach put a decent throw out to, and the DB just got his hand in and knocked it away. We don't have anyone that can put their foot in the dirt and box out the DB. No one for those 50-50 balls.

Demski, White, Wilson all great players when they get wide open. Nield I don't think we've really figured a role for, but doesn't seem like a guy who likes to play in traffic, or block consistently. We're missing a couple big pieces of a competent CFL receiving corps and we pay for it every week.

Man if Brady had any blocking on some of his catches he’d be pushing 200 yards receiving tonight

That's one thing ( outta many) that we really lack...downfield blocking.

He had beaten his man and Collaros threw it behind him. Blame Zach on that.

Chances this team makes the playoff with a sub .500 record, currently 5-4 but we have some really tough games coming up

White is a solid enough route runner. Great 2/3 receiver but as you said lacks physicality to bring in contested catches regularly.

Wilson can make spectacular catches but unreliable and a bit soft.

Nield is closer to Wilson’s type honestly but they want him to be Jason Clermont because of his size and it’s just not working.

None of them are really suited to Collaros strengths besides Demski, who at 5’11 and close to the end of his career is still our most physical receiver.

Due to scheme/useage, and lack of a true WR1 they’ve built a WR corps that is lesser than the sum of its parts

Still think we need another American receiver on the game day roster but more importantly we need to get the O line straightened out, I don't ZC has to many more hits left in him,

Agreed. I thought we started slow maybe because of "by week rust". I liked that we actually tackled instead of diving at the knees or whatever. I like when Zack is slinging the ball side-arm. As much as I like Stanley, his time is pretty well done. Those look out blocks he's giving up are scary.

So essentially we need a Darvin Adams type WR and a Sheed Bailey type WR.

I agree and brought that up in my other post...I think we need to start Clercius in the Neild spot...as he is the only guy we have who can beat a db or tweener with physicality...He also prob has best pure hands on the team
