Winning the turn over battle, and dominating the trenches, I remember the years  when the Bombers would routinely do that. Who would have thought that correlates into wins!

That’s a real good recipe for victory

I have no idea how the tall foreheads unlearned this fact these past few years... Here's to hoping that moving forward we keep this up.

Tackles, oh yay. I'd rather a linebacker make plays than tackles.

So why sign Jones if he's as trash as you say? It still points to a disconnect between coach and gm.

I didn’t say he was trash. Some of you are serious drama queens on here recently. Here’s reality. You and others are going on about a guy who played 1 game had zero tackles and 2 special teams tackles. Was hurt the last 6 weeks of last season. He makes no difference. He wasn’t even playing. It’s like can’t wait till mackonzo gets released so we can hear about how great he was 2 3 years ago now also. What a mistake tho letting a guy go who played in 1 game and made zero difference. Didn’t register a tackle even. 2 sp teams ones but zero actual defensive tackles. Christ. What’s next? Gonna lose your **** when Cobb is released Also?  Cuz this is the equivalent really. A nothing depth piece who did nothing as a bomber. But Argos but 2 years ago.

Has anyone considered that maybe J.Jones just didn't look good in our scheme or maybe he didnt get it, or maybe he half arsed it all year. What he did in Toronto is not relevant if he wasn't that player when he came here. I'm fairly certain we signed him to be that guy but sometimes a change of scenery can be bad for a player. We don't know Jack **** about why he wasn't playing other than the usual assumptions around here. I do know he played here and did not look good granted it was only one game, but the fact remains.

Ahh yes, the blind trust that our coaches always make the best choices when building the roster. Carry on gents, I don't want to interrupt your cult meeting.

It's ok man. I'm sure J. Jones will find a home eventually.

So are we going to do anything with the expanded practice roster this year?

Yes, when they get back from the bye.

I wouldnt be surprised if a couple of training camp cuts are brought in.  Maybe guys that they liked but didn't have the room for out maybe they were injured. Just seems to be the team's MO.

Wah wah wah...free agent bust couldn't play up to expectations, someone fire the coach..wah.

J Jones and D Mitchell is a perfect example of the duality of fans.

D Mitchell was a dud signing that O'Shea didn't want to use and was a mark against Walters

J Jones was a great signing that O'Shea didn't want to use and that is a mark against O'Shea

Pretty much pick your horse and ride or die with them🤣

Neither player could crack the roster out of training camp... it just happened that there was an apocalyptic amount of WRs that went down and more or less forced O'Shea's hand and now Mitchell is on the AR and Jones is on the scrap heap. Not outside the realm of possibility that if there was a significant run of injuries at LB Jones would probably still be around.

TBF there definitely seemed to be a bit more noise about why Mitchell wasn't on the AR as opposed to Jones so who knows what really was going on there.

Who says he couldn't play up to expectations?

Really watch Tony Jones.play sometime... see if you think that's an untouchable player no matter what the # of tackles at the end of the game says. He's a decent piece, but he is replaceable and based on what I saw in one game, j. Jones could have easily replaced and done more.

I was excited about Tony Jones when he came on the scene for an injured Bighill last year... "excited" as in, this guys will be a great place holder until we find a permanent fit... I never imagined the team would view him as the permanent fit... I thought Jon Jones had a chance to be that guy.... I want a MLB that's a game changer... not just an above average place holder...

It continues to concern me that we hold on to 30-something linebackers while ignoring and releasing younger players... The silver lining for me is if the plan is to start seeing more defensive reps from Shay and Smith and get more Americans on the D-line... I'm all for it...
