Running qbs have always been an issue for us

Edmonton's short yardage unit is the shits. Couple of times now they've been in like 2nd and 3 or 4 and get absolutely nothing. Brutal.

Over confidence and lack of effort on our part. 

Ottawa has some good players sprinkled around,  but as a unit they are terrible.  Crum can run and nothing else, he's definitely not a QB of the future IMO.  Khari also doesn't know how to call a game with him at QB... why haven't they kept feeding the ball to Williams?  He was money tonight. 

Edmonton also is mediocre ,  Ford at least has an arm and can run so at least he has some promise for the future. 

Both teams taking terrible penalties all night long.

Tre Ford making some buzz in the second half of the season can only be good.

And there's no reason they can't pull ahead of any of the 3-win teams for a cross-over spot, as silly as that would have sounded a few weeks ago.

Wasn't the reports coming in that Jones / McAdoo had Tre Ford as the 3rd best QB despite reporters and others saying that he was the best in practice?

Not sure what reports said that but Jones himself said Ford wasn't as good in camp/practice so he hadn't earned a shot yet.

“He’s a good player and I’m not trying to be a smartass but that’s the facts, I’m not gonna hide from it. He didn’t come back to camp and he didn’t perform as good as he did a year ago,” Jones told the media in Edmonton.

I hadn't heard that. According to CFL.ca (hardly a reputable source for up to date CFL information, I know) QBs are still their own designation outside of National or American.

Teams should get a tangible benefit for rostering Canadian QBs in my opinion.

Other way around. Jones & McAdoo reportedly felt that Ford was the worst of the three. Reporters who watched practice felt Doege was their best qb. Ford second & Cornelius third.

A QB is counted as a Canadian if they start. Otherwise they are counted at QB.
