Raise your hand if your greed and pettiness helped your former team's biggest rival end the league's longest drought a season later.

  • His trip to the bathroom lasted longer than his free agency.

  • I like having posters from other teams. I don't get why some of you get so butt hurt over it. Other teams have good players/seasons. It's ok to acknowledge it. DOesn't take anything away from our team

you came to the non-bomber offseason news thread looking for bomber news?

It's in his contract with Morning Big Blue...

I think Evans takes a backup spot and waits for a team that has a chance of being better.

BC or Calgary might be a good spot for him to take a backup job.  I still think that the riders will be in on him as their starter.

I love that other team’s fans are wondering how we are able to bring our guys back.

Well, to start :

1. We manage the SMS better than any team

2. Guys want to be here

3. You can basically add playoff money into your salary

4. We draft well

#2 feeds into #1.

Vaughters....nice re-sign by CGY....Dudes a stud...well was....guess we will see if he still has it but my guess is 100%

I’m excited to see the nicknames you lot will come up with for Dane Evans if he signs with the Riders :)

I’m excited to see the nicknames Gapper fans would come up with after they turn on him 2 games in!

So far it seems to be "Lame Evans".

Poor Fool come to mind ahahaha

"No Gain-er"

Or Rogainer? Not 100% on the appearance jokes, but it fits.

It sure won't be 'Great Dane'.....that references a 'dog' ....     but after he chucks the game away....that reference might be applicable

Sideline Dane

Geno Lewis apparently not happy with the Als and is going to the highest bidder....

Has to be tough. But, any GM who wants to build a successful team under the cap, needs to know what salaries they can fit. Walters knew that with Lawler.

Quite the interesting situation if both Lewis and Lawler are available in FA... you can't really go too far wrong with either.

C'mon- $450k for two receivers? Totally doable!

Depends. If they command 300 k each I would rather let another team over bid.

It's just un necessary. Having one of these guys would be nice, but I wouldn't be surprised to see shoen back and our receiving core in recent years always seems to turn out well

Schoen, Gino, Lawler, Demski, and Woli...  getting passes from Zach...

DBs going to be all:

Id almost prefer Geno Lewis due to injury risks with Lawler.

Iverson never won anything and Lewis wasn’t the MVP

But if he can get paid he should

He was already the third highest paid receiver in the league last season behind Lawler and Duke Williams, both are looking at taking a lot less this year.  I think he's making a lot of noise but probably misreading the market trend.
