Yes. He was.

So wrong....the rest of league should prob smack him for poking the bear

It’s early, but at his current level of play rutledge is even better than Alford was as a rookie.

The guy plays the run like a wil covers great and makes plays none stop.

He was wrong to open his mouth like that. Especially about the undefeated back to back champs.

I got too much love for how insanely good Alford was last year to agree with this.

but, Rutledge has been fantastic

I got big love for Alford and nichols. Alford was shut down at one of the hardest positions as a rookie. Rutledge is great in cover but this guy has a nose for the ball like very few dbs I’ve seen. To excel as a Sam as a rookie is even more insane.

i love our guys but if we could get ba and Alford back forget it. Best secondary in 20 years.

Nichols is probably the best at his position.

So glad he is with us. Two huge finds

Our secondary was in position on almost every play BC managed to make.  Taylor made to look bad on a couple of surprisingly savvy plays BC’s Pearson and Rhymes.  Other than that the D was fast, sharp and hugely effective.  Credit the O for dominating the TOP and keeping our defenders fresh.

Nichols is insanely good...and Rutz is gonna be bigtime...already is

The bombers are gonna be db hot spot for nfl scouts

If you’re BC and all of your receivers are healthy, does Whitehead even get on the field?  They can line up across the board with 6’2 and up guys who can also run by.

D.Schoen has been lights out so far.

Solid route runner, good hands and a nose for the endzone. Has looked like a vet so far.

Very impressive so far.

Yeah I've become a huge fan of that kid. Just keeps making plays.

How good is it to have Ellingson teaching him right now? Amazing.

Those two do seem to be having a real bromance every time they show them on the sidelines

Bailey looking like the odd man out this year...

Ellington has come as advertised. He reminds me of Harris in a way...finds plays to make where there arent any. Just a damn good football player.

I wasn’t as pumped about his signing but happy to be wrong. He has been as advertised.

He caught a ball on a deep in route that was a little behind him that probably shouldn’t have been caught and he did it in stride with a DB right on him.

Lions experienced the Zack attack and the Schoen show....We played like the true champs we are and the new kid on the block learned a few things and took his lumps....We're firing on all cylinders (I'll forget Leggs last efforts...and hope it stops there)...and looking good for that third Cup run

Like what you did there.

Btw....it's Ellingson.....and he has been a top guy for yrs...still is...and is a legit intermediate to deep threat...and he of many circus catches too ...his one in first qr we as money....and Schoen looks to be a second coming if him...if not better...Zylstra esque....once we get Demski back...and McRae more engrained I'm offence we will be on fire... And don't sleep on Bailey..he will be clutch for us..and even tho not targeted much he does a lot for the other guys success...
