Cornerback, Mike Jones was arguably the Als best player in Week 2. He had a first quarter interception overturned, but proved to be valuable in coverage all game against the Double Blue. Montreal will certainly be relying on another standout performance against a versatile Riders offence.

Montreal’s defence will need to maintain defensive pressure for 60 minutes against Riders quarterback Cody Fajardo. Fajardo has thrown for 558 yards and a pair of touchdowns through two games. It’s still early, but his average 9.6 yards per completion so far this year is the highest of his career.

In their Week 2 win over Edmonton, Shaq Evans was once again Fajardo’s main target, catching five of his eight targets for 81-yards.

Mitchell Picton and Kian Schaffer-Baker will also provide formidable options the Als must find a way to slow down. Picton contributed to the Riders win in Week 2 with a 28-yard reception for a touchdown, he followed up the touchdown by catching the ensuing two-point conversion.

I think all the penalties SK got is hilarious. They haven’t fixed that. The Qb can’t throw past 10 yards and the oline allowed 8 sacks.they ain’t going to make the playoffs.

My favourite game of the year so far. That might've been more fun than the Bombers wins this year. Anytime the Riders look like assholes, I am here for it! 

Montreal was missing some massive pieces on offense and they looked good,Lewis has to be up there with the Elite WRs in the league,dudes a stud.

Yeah...they could get Weineke back ..Ackie on defence....Fletcher more involved....ain't gonna be easier next week

Nah they'll snag a few wins due to other teams making ridiculous mistakes like the 11 wins they picked up the last two years thanks to opposition missing easy field goals or losing QBs to injuries

To be fair, Bomber fans wanted Lapo to be sent packing too but as it turns out, you have to have a limited playbook when your QB can't execute  anything over short to short-mid throws.

 

I just caught the replay of the game now.    

If I'm a Rider fan I'm scared shitless with how poor that o-line played with only a 3 man rush for the most part.    I dislike Fajardo and even I feel bad for the guy because he had zero chance.    The few times he did have time the man still can't throw a deep ball for absolute shite.  Absolutely ugly passes and his big pass to Wiliams was sheer luck that he caught it.  

Also several completely unnecessary penalties on the Riders..I thought they were going to clean that up?

Terrible special teams play,  terrible d-line pressure,  terrible coverage...  just awful all around.   The only positive the Riders had is Hickson runs really hard.    

The Als looked sharp tonight,  Lewis made some circus catches early and that d-line just completely owned the Riders.

Dickie said that if it continues...penalties...that playtime is gonna have to be taken away....well let's see if he has the balls to follow thru...but man that team is just so undisciplined and selfish

Also agree on Hickson...the far superior runner and a true everydown back ..Morrow is not and shows to the talent evaluation there that he is slotted ahead of Hickson..

And that online...oh my....and that not something u can really fix on the fly in season... especially when it's all 5 who need to be replaced....yikes!
