2019-20 CFL Offseason

For some teams, the CFL Offseason is here. Rather than lose all the coaching movement discussions to the Regular season thread, I thought we could start putting it here.

Those teams currently lost in the wilderness:

Ottawa

Toronto

BC

Montreal

Calgary

Edmonton

Saskatchewan

Hamilton

The champs are here.. the champs are here... Winnipeg*

Hardrick has been a pretty steady bordering on dominant right tackle as you can find...Also when he was brought in here he was asked/told to change a few things body wise with him and if he met those conditions then he was getting a shot...he did. and he himself said it saved his career...it's not like he fluked into the position..the staff at the time identified something to bring his game up...and the results speak for themselves

That's kind of my point...  I feel like Winnipeg and Calgary have plug and play OL now - based on buy-in not so much talent/size

we are exactly in that place...guys backing up who step right in...depth right across the board

$120 for the whole season + playoff home game.

Good deal

If the Bombers had seasons for around $100, I'd buy a pair, even tho I'm in AB. Use em the one time per year I'm home and give em away outside of that... Just to help the club a bit. Get on it, Wade...

The Bombers need to drop the price  for the lower bowl corners.

Just a reminder when you direct anger towards Ambrosie he does what the board of directors direct him too.

I'm assuming this is in reference to the playoff format... the reason Wade would like this better is because the "new" format would've given the Bombers a home playoff game the last two year... AKA more revenue...

Hey who's hosting 2021 GC? We should be in the running to be hosting soon, no?

Hamilton is already confirmed as hosting.

I don't think that there is an appetite at all levels of government to support a GC bid at this time.

we just had it like 4 years ago...we won't get it for at least another 5 or 6 years.....if that.

It will be in Toronto six times and Italy before they even start thinking about winnipeg

Yeah they'll go through BC and TO likely once more before coming back to WPG. So at least 4 years.

Have they built any new hotels or like 12 in Regina yet? That's the largest piss off of them hosting a GC is the lack of places to stay. That and the smell.

Hamilton in 2021. Likely BC and Toronto next, so Winnipeg in 2024 or 2025 would be my guess. Regina should never host. It lacks the hotel space, eating establishments and overall infrastructure. Plus in the immortal words of Ballers: It ******* blows.

And no airport in Saskatchewan

I loved it in Calgary. I thought they did a great job...

having said that... I could have been in Portage La Prairie and wouldn’t have known for the most part. I have a good time everywhere

Well yeah. That was a top 11 Grey Cup of all time.

I suspect that as soon as the new owners are confirmed in Montreal and put up the security, they will awarded the Cup game.

I'd wager you're correct.
