3 stars plus HH banjobowling for fajardo

1 streveler. Some hard gutsy runs for first downs big and small passing plays lead the team to a win.

2 WJ monster game again. The whole dl especially the inside had big games too.

3 Rose with a big pick saving points

Hh grant TD return to really step on the throat.

HH to Gainey for having the self confidence to bray like a jackass while down 25 points.

  • Streveler’s first run of the game was game-changing worthy, gigantic. But his tackle-breaking 21 yard run in the 2nd quarter was spectacular to watch also. And he’s ours.

  • Streveler QB rating for Banjo Bowl......130.

I'm on board with Augustine being "just okay" and not in any danger of taking a starting spot....

He played well but I'm looking forward to getting Angry Harris back

Jackass of the century award: Rod Pederson

I understand there was a lot of whining and nonsense coming from Rod “Village Idiot” Pedersen.

in fact that should be a byline on his website “The CFL’s Village Idiot”.

Nor do I believe he’s in any danger and of taking a starting spot.  His pass pro was better (punkt).

Also big boo to Rod Black suggesting Fajardo is a MOP candidate !!!!

I understand your point, but WHO IS an MOP candidate in the league at this point?

The 2 leading candidates up until 2 weeks ago were Trevor Harris and Andrew Harris. Well Trevor H's team is tanking, he is now injured, and he seems to throw for a lot of yardage, but that's it. And Andrew, well, not a lot of votes are going his way, rightly or wrongly.

Yup, picked up a couple of stunts, yesterday

Streveler

Streveler

AND the rest of the club....played one helluva game (Special cudos to Jefferson)

  1. Streveler - Getting better every game
  2. Augustine - Not going to make anyone forget about Harris, but give the kid his due
  3. Grant - That TD broke the Riders back

HH - PLAP managed to keep the offence going without Harris, Nichols, Whitehead and Demski.

1. Streveler - his highlights this week are spectacular

2. WJ and Co. - simply would not be denied

3. Augustine and the OL - solid ground game, much improved pass pro - we officially have a reliable Canadian backup

HH: Winston Rose

1. Streveler...big improvement and he's just a beast when he's running the ball. I liked his deep throws, yes he over-cooked two of them but it's there.

2. D line led by WJ with tons of pressure on fajita....I bet he's pretty sore today.

3. Special teams...yes our new long-snapper fired one back to Medlock when no-one was ready, but when you think about it, he had what 2 practices and then plays in his first pro game in front of 33k fans. And our down-field cover guys were simply unstoppable and limited to returns.

HH.  Absolutely has to go to the UK Bomber fan who came all the way from Birmingham England to watch the game. Well done sir!!

Accidentally stumbled across some rider twitter today... don’t get too excited guys... sounds like the only reason the bombers won by 25 points (yes TWENTY FIVE POINTS) is because of the refs...

also Rod Peterson needs to take a page from Cody Farjado and learn a thing or two about class... Farjardo’s comments after the game were smart, reflective and showed a ton of leadership... I have a lot more respect for that guy now... however, I wouldn’t be too upset if he goes 0-8 the rest of the season...

he lost 3 of his crutches and gimmicky players, he actually had to call a real offense.

All 3 stars to to Kyle Walters. Signed the best 2 defensive players in free agency. Stocked the team full of depth.

Lmao having a rough morning, let me edit that

Think we're expecting too much from Augustine...  Harris only had a couple 100 yard games in his first breakout year - none in his first year as a backup RB...

Took Cornish five years to 'break out'

The fact that Augustine appears to be getting better at picking up blocks and has turned into an OK receiver is encouraging. He's no Harris, but if that's the bar.....

Banks, Adams would be the main contenders from the East.  Derel Walker maybe.

Begelton is probably the top offensive candidate in the West.

Augustine is not going to supplant Harris, but Harris is nearer the end of his career than the beginning. It is comforting to know that there is an heir-apparent who will only get better. I think Augustine is quicker in the open field and showed decent hands yesterday.

Oliveira is the heir... Or an Import. I really don't think Augustine is the guy...

Yeah he hasn't shown more then other back up fringe CFL Ni backs.

People love to hype average players who over achieve.

Ni rbs who start for years are extremely rare and so so because they still maintain a high level of production. Lacking that highly productive imp RBS are far too easy to find.

Augustine is a small less athletic Olivera. And Olivera may not be a starter after Harris leaves.
