Chris Streveler - Has your opinion changed?

Mine hasn't and that's not a good thing.  Accuracy is just not there and at his age and based on how many years he's played the position.  I don't see that improving.  He still has a hard time reading defences and looking for his 2nd and 3rd options.

I want him to  succeed because if he can improve his passing game he could be a pretty good CFL QB.  But I just don't see accuracy as something that can be improved by coaching.

I think his accuracy is actually a strength.  His mechanics on the deep ball are poor but his mid-range stuff (10-20 yards) is the best we've seen from a Bomber QB since Glenn.  The deep ball is somet

What I do believe, is without Harris and the way our OC calls games, Nichols would have had to be scraped off the field yesterday. The rebound from the hit that Streveler took in the backfield was ver

I think he mostly gives the team a similar opportunity to win as Nichols.  He needs to learn from his mistakes and and think he will.  He was playing against two of the top pass rushes in the league a

That was from the Tim Tebow in college playbook. Play action off a QB run fake.

Thanks for that.

Hey, your last name wouldn’t be Qai, would it?

That reference went over my head.

Today he showed the progress that I was hoping to see. Just looking more comfortable.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers QB Chris Streveller runs for a first down against the Saskatchewan Roughriders during second-quarter action at Investors' Group Field in Winnipeg Saturday afternoon.

Brilliant.

Mind if I steal this to troll some Gappers on Reddit?

no problem at all. please post the url of the thread so I can check it out ... have been meaning to do more CFLing on Reddit.

and also please spell Streveler's name properly like I didn't.

I'm always mispeling Nicholls and Streveller.

One thing I really like about streveler... he still has a long way to go in the passing game... but it feels like no play is dead when he’s back there... if he can consistently throw for 200 years this year and continue to improve... he’s on pace to be a good cfl Qb

Just a weak attempt on my part at humour on pronouncing your display name.

Including a fake pump run. I mean, who does a fake pump run?

He wanted to go to Adams. But the defense stick with him, so the he took off.

As Streveler gets more time, and film to review his mistakes, he's only going to get better.  You could tell When he missed that shot to Wolitarsky that he wanted it back as soon as it left his hand.  Things that can be worked on over time with practice.  They now have 2 weeks to prep for a good Montreal D, but someone said it in the other thread:. This offence is so much more dangerous when not stalling out for large parts of the game.  You only have to look at time of possession yesterday to see how Streveler just brings an added element that makes him a better option than Nichols.  At least that's my opinion!

Tough to "spy on Streveler....when Harris returns.

I'm coming around but he still needs to work thru his progressions.  I'm sure Buck can work with him on that. Looking forward to watch the remainder of his games and see his progression.

That old Mike Sellers vs. Regina video is starting to look pretty ordinary when it's compared to Streveler's recent body of work.

When you have to work this hard to try and make a bad pun funny, it's time to stop.

Strev: "mooove bish, get out the way"

Some improvement in the passing game, he missed a couple deep ones but if he can keep improving game to game he's going to be a handful for any defence.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the fact that Streveler is looking good against good defences. Playing Edmonton and Regina is no where near as easy as playing BC and Toronto.

This is what I hoped for from Streveler. He's been getting better each week as he gains experience. I think he's almost as good as Nichols already and has a long way to go to reach his peak.

Streveler 'runs with the bulls' and leads the pack...What a display of brute strength and determination...He was leaving the riders in his wake like bowling pins....Also threw a couple of nice strikes ....one to Augustine and Bailey just to top things off...I only see him getting better (scary good) and he could lead this team for a long time..The guy personifies tough football and the way it should be played..

Spy Streveler all you want, but when he is able to truck linebackers what good does it do? Guy is just so powerful a runner.

Hey, couple of TD passes and NO turnovers.....is right direction

When’s the last time Nichols put up 4 touchdowns / 250 yards on a team?

To be fair does Nichols get the goal line carries ?

If you have been paying attention, I usually just let it be. But, in this case, the poster is a newcomer and I don’t want any misconceptions. Therefore the explanation. Does that satisfy you?

Our red zone problems begin.....when he does.
