Going to try going with the two threads again for the off season.    One for Bomber news, one for CFL news.   These threads should be used for general / minor day to day news, tweets, etc.  A catch all for tidbits that people want to share to keep everyone up to date on the goings and comings of the league.

Any news, tweets, and signings that is likely to generate significant discussion may have their own threads created.

Maximum penalty: the amount you were over cap, plus a $250 000 fine and 3 draft picks. 

The answer to your penalties question Mr. Skunk - is YES. 

Pursue Boateng (reportedly going to free agency) then we can go all import on the secondary. Ackie is intersting too.

In a perfect free-agency we sign Chungh the day or 2 before, then use money freed up from no Goosen/Lafrance/Opo/Loffler which frees up about a little over 500k if not more for what we already payed Goose/Opo/Lafrance/Loffler ..so 500k+ of last year committed money is available 

We give Boateng Opo'ish money say at with 165k and Adeleke a nice 135k to pull him out of Calgary and then with the remaining 200k we pick the receiver we think is the best and aggressively go at him..

We can flip ratio and start 2 imports on defence and 5 on offence and we have already have adequate rotation guys on the defense to rotate Boateng to give him a break...and if we re-up Corney it's even better

I like how every year for some reason I read about how the Bombers have zero space and money to sign free agents and every year we end up signing some big contract guys.  I don't see money being an issue if we are trying to sign a few key free agents.

Loffler took a roughing penalty for a helmet to helmet hit on that play. Instead of it being 3rd down, Leos got an automatic 1st down. The next play they punched in a touchdown. We lost that game by 2 points.

Not just the West. Loffler has been the CFL all-star every year since he joined the league (and CFLPA all-star the last 2 years). So he is the best that is out there, but no safety is getting $200K.

 

almost like being the tallest midget ...lol....but yeah in a SMS world...your cap at safety shoulnd't exceed 150k for a great National if you ask me...and good one should command 130k..give or take a buck

Forgot about the 150k Randle was to make....I would make a hard push for Johnathon Rose for one of the corner spots...Nice size...tough...and probably signable for 115-125k for his second contract

Loffler won't get $200 grand from anyone. But it looks like he doesn't really want to come back anyway.
