Going to try going with the two threads again for the off season.    One for Bomber news, one for CFL news.   These threads should be used for general / minor day to day news, tweets, etc.  A catch all for tidbits that people want to share to keep everyone up to date on the goings and comings of the league.

If Gray replaces Neufeld on the line...  that would be by far the best in the league

It's already by far the best in the league, with Neufeld in there. He was outstanding in 2018, AND stayed healthy, to boot....... The "Neufeld Sucks" line is old, tired and no longer relevant.

Plus hard to look good when the guy beside you isn’t doing his job. Our o-line will be excellent again next season.

Tackles locked up for next year. Now we get to choose from our glut of Canadian guards. Who do we have under contract? 

Chungh has to be priority. Goossen I'd imagine isn't going anywhere. After that I wouldn't overpay

Neufeld and Gray currently the only ones signed..and the French kid who went back to school will be back

And I'm actually Neuf convert - but who else are we replacing on that line?  Gray isn't going to be our 6th OL...

If Gray could play right tackle well, we could have more ratio room to play with. Thus, if Loffler bolts, we are still in good shape to replace him with an import there.

Are we sure about that? Yes he might have techinically been there being the newbie, but if he's as good as the hype he'd climb quickly. Hell I was wondering if he might be the option if Chungh does leave. 

Neuf > Gray right now. We have no idea if Gray can even start at the CFL level yet. He's just a high draft pick trying to make the team. FTR: I'm not a Neuf fan, but he did play well this year.

Time to sell high on Neufeld.  Sign Chung and Goosen and trade Neufeld for RJ Harris and picks.  

You have to create an opening for a guy like Gray.  To me he was better the day he was drafted than Chung was the day he was drafted and also has a higher ceiling.

Don’t love trading Neufeld for an import receiver. Especially one as mediocre as Harris. You do have to make room for Gray but Neufeld has more value than Harris. 

It would be an awful strategy not to start Gray from day one... we're on a one year contract - get him in the game, get him signed long-term

Nobody, but nobody should be handed a starting job without competing for it. We've had too much of that sort of thing in the past, and look how well it has worked with Manziel in Montreal.

Let's get Chungh and Goossen under contract. Then you hope that Gray beats out Neufeld and Neufeld becomes your 6th OL. Of course, in the scenario, I'm also hoping that somebody tells Danny Mac and Co to get off their asses and find some receivers.
