Could see these purges..and or ask for pay cuts happening....Players will sour fast on the Jones regime for this type of crap..If I was Henoc I would say no way...knowing he could land the same type of salary if he got cut..or better....and knowing that Winnipeg is looking and has the $$...will be interesting to see what happens

Perhaps you didnt want to hear it but he pretty much said it looks like they wont be going after a player for that spot as they like the guys they have on the roster

In a heartbeat.  Muamba is the missing link for this team to win it all imo.

Sask must be on glue to think a starting NI MLB will take a pay cut...

Let things play out in terms of Muamba, if he is cut we have a better chance than most teams to sign him, some teams have been throwing around a lot of money and some don't have the need

Maybe they'll bite the 2nd rounder ? 

To be honest I'll give Muamba in the neighborhood of what we offer to Westerman.

I don't want Henoc for just one year (tho that seems to be the trend...) but if we got a couple years, I'd pay him pretty much whatever he wants. I, too, think he's a missing link to our D looking legit this year....

What do you hope a first rounder will turn into?  A CFL starting 7 NI.  Is Henoc a CFL starting 7 NI?  Yes, yes he is.

 

I'd trade our 2019 first rounder for him.  That pick will be 9th overall anyway...

jones said that they were right up to the cap just before free agency..and had work to do..and they just took on some big salaries....if Duron didn't get that signing bonus I bet they would have cut him..I doubt Jones needs or wants the headache all yr

Henoc Muamba would be an excellent option for the Bombers.  I suspect that if Sask cut him over the bonus, that we will be in great shape to scoop him up.   Nice thing is that it's due tomorrow, so there isn't much time.

If they are asking Muamba to take a pay cut they can't have much money left, where does that leave Bond though I think the Bombers have moved on from him.

and obviously we had 200k set aside for a ratio altering Canadian...that would be a huge pick-up if it happened
