GDT: Toronto @ Winnipeg

It's Game Day!

7:30 PM start.  Ricky Ray and Marc Trestman bring the Argos into town to challenge the Bombers.

Forecast is sunny and 22.  Perfect evening for football.

Jack Jacobs will be the 2017 player being added to the Ring of Honour.  His name will be going up tonight.

Time for another win.

  • Bombers should not be feeling any pressure. They're 1-1 on the season. Just go out there and play solid football, and everything else will work itself out. Way too much hand-wringing going on around h

Well that Sublime/Offspring show kicked my ass last night. Here's hoping for a 3rd wind for Jimmy Pop and 2nd win for the Blue & Gold!

that sounds like a good show.

A bomber win will leave  you feeling the new wind real strong.

Lapo and Nichols are the cure for insomnia.

Getting tired of 3 yard passes

1 Bomber first down in the first quarter.

Special teams tonight not so special.

Does anyone have a more pointless job at IGF than Caroline Hunter? "The Bombers are in the red zone." in the most monotone voice possible.

I am glad the Bombers won so that I can say this without it sounding sour: the CFL needs to get its officiating in order ASAP. Its ruining the game.

Not a pretty win, but good teams find a way...

Glad for the win, game could have been a loss if not for some VERY questionable penalties and some missed calls. Special teams, get your **** together. Nichols/Lapo, come out faster and dont throw on 2nd down with under a minute left, up by 8 when youre running well. Westerman, stop taking dumb penalties. That is all.

P.S. D-line, stop hitting QB's in the face

Nice debut by Jeffcoat , Heath played great, Dressler got open, Medlock did his job and Nichols over threw the fans in the stands with that toss at the end of the game. Lots of work still to do but a win is never a bad thing.

Pretty solid back and forth game. Bombers O is annoying tho... When they are on they score on every drive. When they arent... They are absolutely awful.

First time a team put up over 30 on Toronto. 0 TDs and 2 Ints for Ray. No sacks againt Nichols. Our Dline is very good. Dressler is so good. Harris is a beast.. Just all effort all the time.

Heath is elite. So is Moe. Got a decent team... Just really wish the O would show up more.. Didnt hear Rocs name much.. Must have had a good game. Knox was good. Hurl? I dunno. He cant tackle.

Nice that they brought pressure on Ray and it did effect him, D on a whole played well, some strange call on O and special teams coverage was terrible in the first half

Pretty much sums up the game, send it to the freep

Nichols didn't have a good start,  but 0 ints, and was sacked 0 times. He drove the ball when he needed to. We will need to make some improvement facing BC next week, but heading to Vancouver 2-1 sounds a hellova lot better than 1-2

Same issue for Nichols.  One pretty good half, one pretty bad half, but at least no big screw ups.

I think it was more a bad 1st quarter. we scored as many points in the 2nd quarter as we did the whole 2nd half. The biggest difference was our D held the argos to 3 points in the 2nd half, and our ST stopped giving up instant field position every return. It was a good 2nd half adjustment in those 2 phases

Props to the D for that game.  Nichols wasn't great but he didn't make any huge mistakes like Ray did.  We will need to see a little more from the offense if we want to win next week in BC.

Did Rocky Carmichael get burned badly tonight? If so, I missed it...
