I like the idea of what a 2nd Westerman would do for our D_line for years to come. Getting Venerable could mean a road to the Grey Cup so I would break the bank with whatever we have left and spend it on those two.

The Bombers have given Hall some great players to coach, up to him how much longer he is the DC.

I know it shouldn't surprise me anymore, but too many people in this thread fail to understand

a) There is a salary cap, and

b)We can't force players to sign here.

Hall's not perfect and his schemes can be maddening but he is also a 2 time champ as a DC and has been to 4 cups as a DC.  He's proven he can get the job done in the past.  Sometimes I loved our defence last year, other times not so much.

lafrance to ssk is supposed to be done. Seems like they are spending like drunk sailors again. I would like to see him have the chance to start. Too bad he wont have a chance to play on a good offense.

LaFrance makes a lot of sense for Sask, wish we could have got him here...  love to see two Cdn backs

yes but we went in with a lot of expired salary and a low cap the previous year. Thats the difference. 

not proven...overpayed...big upfront money and cap hit and truly doubt he can be a premiere back in an offence. If plans are for him to be a ratio breaking spot on starting roster then they just got weaker as an offence, and if he can't produce is going to be a expensive back up.

I always like when home town boys come to play, but I think with what the riders are paying him, they can have him for now. His sample size is too small to be offering him north of 100K and he's at best be a back up here

Coates and Hurl $$ probably equal LaFrance...  I would have overpaid for ratio insurance

normand is a better back than LaFrance...so we set there no worries if Harris needs a breather or goes down in game, and truthfully I would start him in place of if we couldn't alter the ratio to allow for Flanders, or another American back
