Well that loss stung last night. Not happy with the decision to kick the FG but that can be discussed elsewhere  All in all there was a lot of improvement this year over last year and looking like they are trending upwards. If Walters can pull off another great draft and some more key FAs this offseason I like our chances going into 2017. Who is on the FA watch list and what areas are we in desperate need of fixing?

I'm not that surprised. Adams wasn't very good at the end of 2015 or all of 2016.

Lawless is reporting that Popp & Trestman are being considered seriously. The only good thing would be Trestman. Popp ground the Als into the ground before he was fired.

That Popp/Trestman team was pretty awesome -- well coached and loaded with talent.

The wheels didn't come off the Als until Trestman left and Popp decided he was a full-time coach.

team with long serving experienced top qb is good, team without said qb is bad, news at 11. 

seriously what happened to the Als is pretty simple. Calvillo retired and they had no replacement. As Bomber fans we know all about what it's like when you don't have a qb worth a damn.

But Popp was also undermined by the owner, right? I'm forgetting the timeline but it seems like everything truly fell apart AFTER he named himself HC.

Speaking of Calvillo, looks like he took a demotion this year, last year he was the OC, this year Chapdelaine is the OC and AC is the QB coach.

Which is a weird change from the normal Alouette way ... parachuting high-profile people into jobs they can't do / are not ready for.

Well, everything started falling apart when Calvillo retired...

It was a perfect storm- Calvillo got old, Trestman left and the ownership's involvement changed. Who knows- maybe Popp will do better in Toronto.

Popp and Trestman may reunite but they got to find another AC if they are planning of having the same success

Was this just a salary dump?

Is Walters happier with LeFevour than what Tate might do?

Curious Calgary would make sure he did not come to Winnipeg! Maybe we are more of a threat than we appear ...

Short and simple answer: not the kind of cost/performance ratio we wanted to invest into a 3rd string QB.

1) Huff wasn't going to trade him in-division

2) Tate was due a $40k bonus early march that they didn't want to pay

3) Tate's overall salary became cost prohibitive based on what he was providing...
