Just watched the recap of BanjoBowl 2019 and the Offence that we field today is so superior to that one (possible exception being the OLine) that it would make your head spin.

Even then, with Streveler (for Nichols), Augustine (for Harris), Peterman and the rest, we wiped the field with the Riders.

Dammit I need to get a lot of work done today... but now I'm tempted to do something else

I was pretty excited and so were a lot of other Bomber fans. I think it was your fan base calling it a desperation move.

Bomber fans fully realized we were a hit away from McGuire leading us into the playoffs and most of us were clamoring for a vet backup to be brought in. If the Collaros trade thread were brought up right now you would see most Bomber fans were quite alright with the trade.

Over at Riderfans you guys were cackling with glee that we picked up the QB you guys were blaming for the Riders not being able to hoist the Grey Cup.

The 2nd biggest highlight of 2019 was that we won the cup with the QB the Riders were too stupid to keep. Long live the JOD era!

I disagree… reactions ranged from “desperation move for a washed up player” to “we didn’t give up much so it can’t hurt”… I’d have to check the thread but I don’t really recall anyone being too optimistic about it

    Most Passing Yards – Season

    5,334 – Khari Jones – 2002

    5,114 – Kevin Glenn – 2007

    4,796 – Dieter Brock – 1981

    4,686 – Tom Clements – 1987

    4,682 – Matt Dunigan – 1993

Collaros is going to retire as one of the all time best bomber QBs… he’s gotta crack at least the top five on this list

Demario Houston is turning over a crap ton of balls...

Houston has been amazing this year… Nichols is probably still the top dog in our secondary but Houston isn’t far behind.

I would dress 7 lineman minimum who could contribute and be impactful..Thomas and Bennet would not be 2 of.them...Nor.that Putz schmeckle they have on the PR

I think we all agree 7 linemen would be ideal but you know it can’t be done without those three you mentioned… best case with our current roster is Jeff-Lawson-Walker-Jeff with Thomas/Bennett, Hansen, and Haba/Fox rotating in

I didn't see that, but it's interesting. I sometimes wonder if there's "behind the scenes" chatter between players on different teams that we don't know about. Like maybe someone from BC texted someone from Winnipeg and was mouthing off earlier in the week.... that kinda thing....? Maybe? Unless it's just a response to the whole "Donut Boys" thing....

I didn't see what Jpan saw... but if true, there's no way it was over something this meaningless... Zach only goes off for something really egregious... maybe some trash talk said to him or cheap shots to him or a teammate...

last time I can recall Zach saying something publicly about an opponent is when he called out ****** Williams after the 2021 West final

That's a possibility. The other side is the O didn't do its job for the entire 2nd half of that game. Schoen had a brutal drop...Brady that bad fumble....buck and his bone headed play call near the end. Wr score just 1 more td and its a Bomber W.

It's like last year's Grey Cup... there wasn't one specific thing that caused the loss... but a list of things where if you change one of them, we probably win

    The officiating is nuts.

The replay official buzzes down to make sure they call a no end penalty on us first drive of the game.

Where was he on Betts uncalled offside?  Where was he on the Bighill play that was blatantly not a penalty?  Where was he on the next play when BC receiver was clearly down at 40 with contact gets up and runs across 30?

If they are going to auto review some plays (aside from scoring ones) they need to review all of them.

Also O’Shea needs work on when to use the flag.  On a 60 yard play to Lawler…use it.  On a blatant illegal tackle by us…don’t use it.

Another thing... their RT was moving before the snap, never called (maybe once)... multiple times... every time he lined up against Willie he would jump early to try and get the edge... you even see it twice if you watch the game recap on cfl.ca

Darby is another American we could replace pretty easily.  Didn’t see him out much on D and boneheaded play on teams where he acted like he was onside smacking ball out of bounds for a 15 yard penalty.

I was just thinking about this too... what is Darby brining to the roster right now?... If Krahmdi is starting, why not dress Parker who brings much more to the return game and positional versatility in the secondary?

This D was at it's best with heavy rotation on the DL. Not sure why they refuse to get back to that. It's the tried and true formula in the cfl right now.

Was just thinking DL is where the extra DA should reside... we should be ok in the defensive back field in case of injury... Darby can play multiple positions or BA can move around and Hallet can fill in at safety... this D needs a heavy DL rotation to be effective.

Anyone else a little surprised by the season Betts is having?  Not hating but he's blowing his best statistical season out of the water and we are only a third of the way through.

I was thinking that recently... I recall him being a borderline bust in Edm... now suddenly he's unstoppable

When Jones had 20 coaches on the Riders they were barely a .500 team and never got close to a Grey Cup.

That's not technically true... they were a Ricky Ray drive away from being the first ever cross over team to make the Grey Cup... I would consider that "close"

It really can't hurt. McAdoo's play calling has been abysmal.

I agree with this part... but just shuffling the deck and demoting someone, while keeping him on staff and failing to rid yourself of the real problem (Jones) is never going to solve anything.

Thing with Corney...his confidence is so shook now, basically from his OC giving him zero outlets, for the most part, and no help whatsoever....Sure he needs to hit them when they actually there...which is hit and miss so far, but he can make all the throws, and we know he can use his legs...but they have him so all over the map they may have effectively just ruined him this yr

    I heard somewhere he's an athletic 6'5...
