Listening to the show on the CJOB vault, O'Shea is really polite and knowledgeable. I can't help but think though that he's sitting there thinking "man these people actually care about football in this town" when he's taking questions, good ones at least and not questions from old men and nutbars. I doubt they do anything like this in Toronto but I can imagine what it would be like:
"Welcome to the Scott Milanovich call in show. Let's get right to the calls...ok...there's no one yet...oh wait we have "Bluto" on line one...go ahead Bluto, looks like you're going to be our only caller tonight so you've got 55 minutes..."

i'm pretty sure you retain the rights to one of those guys... but not so sure about the other.

I see our team this year being similar to the 2005 Bombers. A good QB with an offense that can score points but a defense so atrocious you have to score 50 points to win. Now, I don't see us being as bad defensively as the team that employed Marcus & Marcel Smith but I do feel like that's the sort of season we'll have.

We lost by a total of 7 points combined and our starting QB appears to be pretty good.
I'd say we're miles ahead of last year at this time.

A common scenario.
 
Fan of Other Team : We have a pretty good fanbase, passionate , vocal, rich history.
 
Riderfans. Meh, nowhere close to us, we're different we're special . I was at your stadium last week there were more Rider fans (or loudest fans were Rider fans). We're not like other fans in Canada.
 
Fan of Other Team : Well, I was at a Rider game with my team sweater on and somebody whipped a beer can at my (kid, girlfriend , buddy etc) head.
 
Riderfans : <indignation> So what ? happens at every game we're no different.

What a great morning to be here in the stadium. Sunny, a bit cool, but i'm happy to be here.
 
So far its been a breeze getting to the stadium, no traffic and best of all all the parking i could possible want.. not ONE car in the parking lot closest to the entrance. 
 
Once i got to the stadium doors things became a bit tougher.  The doors were locked so i walked around the whole stadium trying to find an open door..  When i didn't i was happy that i keep my grappling hook in the back seat of the my truck so a few minutes later and a few attempts to set my hook i was up and over the wall.
 
All has been quiet so far, other then the lone security guard that yelled at and chased me.. I dealt with him  quickly and quietly  but i feel a bit bad about the headache he will have later.
 
So far the field is looking good.. No one else has arrived yet and none of the players have made their way onto the field, but i will be sure to post updates as things progress.

Ian Wild, Korey Banks & Desia Dunn just don't do it for me as our three linebackers. This team misses Henoc in a bad way.

I liked WIlly, Urrutia, Cotton, Marve, Kemp, Bruce Johnson, Bucknor ... Didn't like Tarver at all. Didn't like Brohm, Jaymar Johnson, Pencer either

You keep pushing this idea but a DI on the O-line makes zero sense.

I'm a little late to the party on this.... I don't think we woulda got him but I'm disappointed to hear we didn't even get in on the Laurent sweepstakes.... I understand the reasoning, but then again conventional CFL wisdom says you never pass on quality Canadians if you can get them.

He should be adapting his scheme to fit his players. Ted Laurent is a special player, if you can't find room to fit a guy like him into your defense Etch should re-evaluate what we're doing.
 
Etcheverry terrifies me.

Funny that the only negative stories about Miller and O'Shea were both written by Friesen. The Bombers under Miller, Walters and O'Shea have bent over backwards for the media but that hasn't had any effect on how Friesen writes about the team.

I'd bring Brett Carter back for sure.

I don't like any scenario in which Ian Wild is taken off of the field.

Because then we have to go back and forth between this forum and the next.  Most people, I'm guessing, just want to read the one forum and not have to go back and forth.  All the football news is here.

With the luck we've had we'd put together a stellar cast of replacement players that starts the season 6-0.... only to fall back to reality once our real players return
