If Ottawa takes Lavertu, I have no problem with us taking Goosen at #2 as he would become the best available center.  Drafting the best guy for our biggest need isn't the same as going off the chart like Mack did.

Here's the thing about letting the media in for photos...
 
Inevitably the photos they take would make things look much worse w.r.t. how bad the damage was then what the situation really is.
 
Most people simply don't have perspective because any sort of water damage in the property they do know about (their house) is a huge pain and cost. 
 
People might freak out over something that is easily fixed and won't be noticeable come game day and Miller is trying to prevent that - I can assure you he will let media in once things are fixed up enough that no freaking out will occur.

It's basically the opposite.  Burke relies on a 4 man rush and man or match coverage...very predictable, but if you have guys who execute and win the 1 on 1 battles, it can be spectacular.  Etcheverry is more like Chris Jones, anyone can and will blitz and there will be a lot of zone defence behind that, sometimes with guys dropping into coverages that their position wouldn't in a more basic defence like Burke's.

They have Bo Levi who has looked good when playing and Tate who has looked exceptional when he isn't hurt...  I would trade that for what we got in a flash.

I really liked Thorpe's defense this year - Balls to the wall pure aggression all game long, every single game.
 
I don't know what he was doing on the backend, but it didn't even feel like they were getting blown up on big plays all the time with the constant blitzes either.

We finished 4-3 on the back of some decent quarterback play from Joey Elliot, whom we then released and went back to Buck Pierce (who appears to be no longer able to play football at a high level).
 
I'm not saying Elliot is a saviour, but if we had started the year with him as our starter I don't think we would be eliminated from the playoffs yet.

I envision some kind of "option-year", where the player can try out for the NFL while a CFL team maintains his CFL rights.

I'll happily take the bus to every game for the next 10,20,30 years... No waiting in traffic in my car AT ALL... hell yes
The current location with it's transit options is BETTER than the old stadium...

I don't consider paying more than it would cost to go off the grid just to get power from another supplier (not including however much you would need to bribe people to actually get an approval) an actual option.
 
IMO this isn't support for the Bombers, this is MB government playing with numbers so that they don't need to worry about having to deal with the Bombers being late/short on loan payments.

Don't like it... if you ask me Manitoba Hydro and Manitoba Public Insurance should be completely disallowed from any sort of advertising that isn't DIRECTLY associated with providing information for the public good (I.E. they should only be allowed to spend money promoting something that is directly related to improving their bottom line or public safety - Hydro's stay away from power lines or energy saving tips are a good example, MPI's anti drunk driver campaigns another)
 
What public good are they serving with this promotional money... nothing other than getting their name out there, which is irrelevant considering we have no other choice in using them.
 
 
MLLC I have less of a problem with, at least they have to compete with the wine/beer stores for business  (I actually don't think they should be allowed to advertise their liquor selections whatsoever since we have no other choice but to go to the MLLC for those purchases)

I wish train travel wasn't so damn expensive... it is such an enjoyable way to travel
