Perhaps it's recency bias, the free clappers, or sitting in a different section (I was in accessible seating in the end zone), but that was the loudest atmosphere from start to finish that I can remember.

In my mind Banjo Bowl this year was louder. I think the cold air burns out some voices faster, mine was giving out last night and the single sided clapper wasn’t much help (damn non cold resistant plastic).

  2. I am honored to even make the list at all, simply showing up means something...

I thought I was doing well this year and got picks in every week then week 19 or 20 happened, too much life got in the way and I missed the week. Better than usual as I often have 2 or 3 bran fart weeks in which I forget.

Rich, Thanks again for hosting this board and sending me the invite when you started it up.

Again, just my opinion & this thread is going nowhere but does every celebrity that dies make you feel sad? I'd say only about half may affect everyone enough to comment here, if that. Besides, most people are on social media & when a celebrity dies we know about it & can comment.

That is true. Like I said, how I feel about the RIP thread is just my opinion. I mean, the thing is here & when I feel inclined then I will comment. Would I miss it if it suddenly disappeared? No. However, like I already said, I know the thing ain't going nowhere.

Here's the thing, you do comment on many of these, scroll back a couple of pages and there is a comment about **** Butkus,  ECW/WCW wrestling and addiction and alcoholism. You participate as much as anyone so stop being a hypocrite and stop suggesting it should be shut down and no one should talk about these things. You avail yourself of the freedoms to chat here, why suggest that others shouldn't?

I somewhat agree with Goalie here about this thread. I have no idea why we need a thread about celebrities who died. Most, if not all who croaked would have no interest in any of us when alive. And it kind of a creepy subject anyway. I'd rather just have separate posts about people who died. If it was up to me, I'd close this thread. Just my opinion.

You can always choose not to read or comment either...

Do you think they're going to actually cut Lawler after promising to pay him?  I can see the Riders making a decision like this but not the Bombers.....something, something, integrity and living with the consequences of their decisions.  If he underperformed you would have a valid point.

I agree it isn't the Bombers style, is there any trade value to Lawler's contract?

So you don't want arguably the best receiver in the league and would rather have a guy who averages 600 yards per season instead?

I believe the best receiver in the league will be Schoen for the next few years, it doesn’t make sense to me to pay $500K plus for two #1 receivers. There are only so many touches a single player can get in a game and Iwould much rather have Schoen and Bailey for $400k.

like wtf eh?...he's so done and useless out there....taking reps away from Lawson's development

and we won't...well cant utilze the fact we can sub quality imports for rotation at will on defense because...well we didnt roster any ...sad

As a pure pay cheque difference would it matter to Lawson if he is listed as started over Thomas? Is that the key to any bonuses paid for "Starts" or is a start being on the roster and playing?

I haven't studied the charts but it seems like Lawson is on the field more often that Thomas, does it matter to the player how they are listed?

Curious if anyone else is in my situation with Smart Watches.

I used to not be able to leave my house without strapping a wristwatch on. Had a nice little collection going. But as Smart Phones became ubiquitous, I broke myself of the habit since timepieces were made redundant by them and found that I enjoyed not wearing one. Especially not having to worry about damaging it in my workplace.

But now with pretty much all of my friends and colleagues wearing their Apple Watches, FitBits, Pixel Watches, etc and selling me on the virtues of them, I'm starting to wonder if it's worth my time and expense to get one and learn its use?

5 years ago I was where you are now, I currently wear an Apple Watch from when I get up until I go to bed with few exceptions. Yes, I use it to monitor daily activity and it’s a pretty good “coach” to make sure you close your rings everyday, especially as I head in to my mid 50’s I need to be ever vigilant about my health. I also appreciate not needing to always pull my phone out and see who is calling, looking at my wrist to see “likely fraud” and reject the call is very easy (though, now that the election is over these calls are less frequent. More than anything for me it’s almost more a remote control for my phone than anything else.
