Well I’m not going to lie I’ve seen the difference between a girl that watches football because it’s important to you and a girl that legitimately loves football and watches it with you. Both are perfectly fine but I have to admit it’s really nice.

I hear you. We attend games as a family and the game or 2 I have to miss a year due to work travel really annoy her. I’m attending a conference that starts Sept 10. The flight I was sent departed 9am Saturday, I wasn’t missing the Banjo Bowl and switched it to 9:55pm Saturday so we can attend the game. She’s still on my ass “if it’s close and you want to leave early to make your flight…”

Last year she had a bad sciatica flare up and limped her way to the banjo bowl and pretty had to side sideways to and from in the truck to be any little bit comfortable. Will not miss a Banjo Bowl.

  2. I don't know why Zach would think this but it almost seems to not trust the team to bail him out when needed. That need to try and make the play when under pressure and scrambling. Doesn't trust that the team can recover from giving up the sack so tries to be the hero. Maybe he just has a hero complex and needs to be the star but from everything others say I can't believe this to be true.

1 - Jeffcoat: if he's not the best pure DE in the league... I don't know who is

2 - Brady: Zach started out slow and eventually turned it around... Brady kept the offense going in his absence

3 - Rose: I thought he was really noticeable, in a good way, last night... obviously the pick helped... we haven't heard much from Rose since his return from injury... and that's usually a good thing for a DB

HH - Jake Thomas : people are starting to sour on his but he was solid last night and recorded another sack... that said, Lawson was also really good and should probably be getting more snaps.

I like Jake a lot and he has meant a ton to this team in his tenure but 7 minutes in to the game he was asking for a sub to come in. If you can't make it through the first quarter on the rotation planned by the coaches it is getting to be time.

I want to highlight really specifically how ******* brilliant that play was by jeffcoat. He could have got greedy to try and scoop and score, but no, he did the intelligent and correct thing and snag that ******* ball with both hands and his full attention. Way to go Jeffcoat that was gorgeous and I literally cheered in my basement for you

An O'Shea gem from the postgame show. "Jackson's going to take some abuse in film study tomorrow, could have scooped and scored but allowed himself to be tackled by the QB!!"

I know I mentioned it before, but in the 2nd half there was one run where judge tried to tackle Oliveira and gets up slowly holding his shoulder... that's one of your linebackers who didn't want any part of stepping in and stopping the running back. It's just so fun to watch him get past the first level and just hit guys

I will say the TSN camera man and director did a better job staying on the shot of Judge wincing as he got up than Buck did staying with the idea of hammering on that Defense when they were ripe. I was yelling at the TV that they didn’t immediately go back after Judge again.

hey guys - we got out of West Kelowna last night after spending the day packing up our vehicles with stuff and as of right now have no idea if our house is still standing.  Meanwhile now half of Kelowna is also on fire.  We were able to find a place to stay in Vernon but if the fires get this far north our next stop in Calgary.  Right now I feel like I am in the movie Twister or something.  Anyway, good to have a Bomber game to distract me, as there literally is nothing we can do but wait this out and see what happens.

I’ve been watching the different feeds on Castenet all day and am in constant contact with our staff there. The structure fires are doing the typical, you burn, not you or you but yeah you look good to me. Know of one fire fighter whose house burned while he was working this morning but the one next door was fine (the house that survived belongs to our manager’s FIL).
I’ve seen footage of boats at the end of docks catch an ember and burn.

Glad to know you are safe, the first to be evacuated and leave may end up being the luckiest in this disaster.

I actually did eat at Roxie's today those were some good thick cut fries (I was wondering where the arcade was, the few photos they have on facebook don't really show the arcade, I might look at it but not play because I'll bet those things take dollars only these days....at least most of the machines do at Phantom Amusements) though I looked through the window it looked like they had some of that aerosol cheese in there, well I'll have to bring plenty of money if I plan on going next time

I'll bet they are expensive because of licensing and all that stuff also don't forget it's a local business

Spray cheese has gotten crazy expensive, was almost $6usd in Fargo last week. Probably at least $12 at McGarvie.

So has anyone been to Macgarvie's in Selkirk? I just noticed it today on a day trip there but it wasn't open today (I should make sure I make a return trip here before it gets too cold to drive outside Winnipeg)

Have been a couple times, haven't bought anything as the pricing scares me; mostly US import stuff with massive mark ups. My 10yr old wants to go back and hit the arcade in the basement.

Better off just going across the street for something to eat at Roxie's.
