140k and people are complaining? That's not a high contract.

I don’t think it’s the contract amount that is at issue, he was the least needed of our OL free agents. Eli is already on the roster and better at centre. With Bryant, Gray/Dobson, Eli, Neufeld and Hardrick/Richmond we have the best O-Line on the league and have better protection for Zach than we had before. That $50 or 60k over a rookie developmental is needed for other players.

As God is my witness I thought turkeys could fly.

Three of is share an office, two in our 50's and one in her 40's. We were having a conversation back before US Thanksgiving and started talking Turkey Drop and she had no idea what we were talking about. Had to bring up the clip on Youtube and share it. Oh the youth, the lack of education is shocking!!!

It's not going into the fast fired lot they're building a new place where that fenced in area currently is in the parking lot

Not true, if you go to the original KP Facebook post they comment that it is going in the building with Qdoba and the under construction nail salon. The construction in the lot itself is for future development.

I'm not a fan of cheap fast food or generic chain restaurants.

I'm a much bigger fan of the non chain local restaurants that make everything fresh and with higher quality ingredients.      These days most family chain restaurants are hurting because the younger generation usually have higher standards,  and for Sorrentos the menu for the other locations is kind of stuck in the 80's.    I'll give it a try and leave a review once it does open since it is nearby and they do have kids meals.    Until then I'll complain and just tell people to visit Roxy's in Selkirk or Jonseys in East St Paul for all your restaurant needs.

What kills me about Sorrento’s is that the menu has a great looking pasta dish on it that is let one of their menu items, some stock photo the designer used…

*checks menu again* awesome! (mom's excited because she loves their salads, I love their breadsticks) from facebook: BIG NEWS!! Sorrento's Pizzeria will be opening in our parking lot in front of H&M later this winter! Stay tuned for opening day details.

Last spring while my MIL was in Seven Oaks we ate at the McPhilips location a few times. Pizza and salads are good but the rest of the menu falls a little flat. I have a hard time seeing this be a full concept location given the old Fast Fired location they are going in too. I hope success for all locals but this one makes me wonder…

Saw the first 2 episodes, looks like it'll be another great season.

Man between Slow Horses, Fargo and Lawmen: Bass Reeves its like the olden days when I had to wait for new episodes to come out.

I have to fly to Toronto for a couple days later this month. I’ve decided to wait and watch them on my trip. Easier to not start and then binge than wait each week.

Maybe a 10% (up to 50%) reduction on the salary cap impact for every year they are there after 2 or 3 years. So, someone like MOS, is only costing us half against cap.

I'm not sure the format but possibly even an allowance for certain % increase for increases after the first 3 years. 5% /year for the next three, 7.5% for years 7 to 9 or some other sort of escalator.

Getting ranked 3rd overall is pretty impressive considering they has us at 422th (out of 439) for climate.  We must have done really well in the other categories!

3rd overall and 1st for raising a family, pretty proud of the city I moved out of to live in the country… (I don’t feel it is hypocritical, more ironic really)

I believe the estimate to move the rail yards was in the billions... I'm not sure how many, but it would take a lot to make that move happen.

Despite the cost it is the right answer. 3 or 4 Billion to move it now or 700 Million for Arlington Bridge and then 1.5B for Slaw Rebchuk and on and on in to the future. The possible economic boon from the area currently covered by the rail yard was estimated at 4 or 5 times the cost of moving it (if my memory is correct). How many housing units could be built on that land (after remediation) and the societal gains from removing the division between the North and the rest of the city would have a value as well, but I have no idea how to place an amount on it.

We need to get past doing the cheapest right now and start doing the best for ever solution.

  9. Is anyone else watching Lessons in Chemistry on AppleTV? Watched the most recent episode after tonight’s debacle in Hamilton and I have to say, I really enjoy that show. Not at all what I would normally choose but very well written and told.
