  1. Sure, the Als D is quick and hits hard. But our O was simply a clown show......

  2. If last year was any indication, I hope he’s in playoff form from the get-go..

  3. I meant a full game, but you’re right that counts. I’m positive he wouldn’t have led that comeback, that was an awful, awful game from him

  4. Last time he played that badly was against Edmonton last year but he got hurt and Dru came in and we won.

  5. At one point I’d have expected him to. Now, I don’t know. Last time I saw Zach play that badly, he was about to be run out of Hamilton.

  6. Yeah I mean it’s really how things soured quickly and how he responded to the bombers wanting accountability and a reasonable contract. Bad attitude and stuff I think is a bit over blown. He’s a great guy and player I have a lot of love for him. I don’t think he was a fifo problem while under contract here. I think he expected us to be happy with him no matter what and he clearly was not physically up to it any more. zachs interview on bonfire sports makes me feel sick. Had the guys and the looks felt good felt ready just missed some times you miss. Idk what to expect him to say but that isn’t it. He really needs to have a big game vs ott to take the taste out of people’s mouthes or it’s gonna get ugly quick.

Meh, he was one of the younger guys who did have ample opportunity here. I’d pass, rather see what the new WRs can actually do.

  9. It's a nice thought but pulling guys off their couch is unlikely to yield any immediate results.

  10. American scouting? Oh yeah for a decade. Yeah totally. Nichols, Alford, Jeffcoat, BA, Wilson, Schoen, Dru Brown, BA, Strev, Mike Jones, Santos-Knox, Stove, Holm, Eli, Jamaal Westerman, Woli, Leggett, Sayles, Bailey all sucked during their time here. Not to mention a boatload of others. Fire Goveia. Come on.

  11. I sure hope it's rust with collaros but there's been concerning things with his game since the 2022 grey cup. Sure he had some big games last summer but otherwise he's been shaky. He started the year as MOP front runner but by fall Brady took over that mantle and was the straw stirring the drink for the Bombers offensively. Collaros continues to struggle and they must work streveler into the passing game much much more.

  13. I keep forgetting he even played in Sask. I only remember him getting hit by Simoni, and getting shut out by the Bombers in 2018. Yeah I would have completely chalked it up to Montreal being good otherwise. I’m still hoping that was the biggest factor. He couldn’t hit anything though. Those quadrupole pumps before ridiculous underthrows were just wild.

  14. He was that lost for reason in ssk too. Some of his answers to such questions just awful back then. I didn’t think he had the ssk mild career come back in him or the big one here. So I hope he again proves me wrong. But damn I’m worried. They are really good. However Zach was tossing gutter balls all over the place and missing reads badly. And missing open guys. Really gotta hope it’s rust.

If you're looking to the past, which I don't think they should be, Agudosi is currently a free agent and already knows the playbook.

I think after his knee injury last year, his career might be done.

  19. If he was a bit more healthy and doing his off season stuff with a better attitude I think we would’ve lost Brady to the remnants of Harris. Both got banged up too though. Darby they let walk once before as well. Rose is I think the closest, but i think that was injury related. If you go back I’d say maybe mo? But he was related to recovering from injury as well.

  20. It’s stubbornness, or misguided loyalty. The scouting dept has brought in guys that can play. Tre Thomas made play after play in the preseason games, nothing. They stick with Wilson who hasn’t been the same since his injury in 2021.

  21. Here's a list of vets who lost their spots in the off-season. Gray Bailey Rose Grant Jeffcoat Clements Funny thing is with the exception of Rose none lost their jobs directly to better players.

  22. Correct me if I'm wrong, but looking at our training camp cuts and depth chart, I don't think one vet lost a spot to another player. Not one cut and not one demoted to a backup role. That seems problematic to me. Not one person that jumped off the chart to gain a spot or a vet that declined to lose a spot (other than those not re-signed)? Not even something somewhat surprising like Eli jumping ahead of Kolankowski or Lofton losing the starting RT spot he was basically assigned when he joined our team? Augustine losing his spot to Rosery? Perhaps that will change as the season rolls along, but I don't take it as a good sign that we could have penciled in the depth chart other than which rookies grabbed the spots not contested by vets.

  23. The practice roster is what makes me more frustrated than anything, to be honest. The use of it is just horrendous. Historically, here have been the past couple years looking at our American PR August 2022: OL Witt, OL Lofton, K Mourtada, DL Wilcots, WR Harrison, DL Mack, DB Holm October 2022 (post expanded PR): OL Witt, OL Lofton, OL Fornadel, OL Muljo, K Mourtada, WR Harrison, WR Heiligh, DL Adams, DL Massie, DB Texada July 2023: OL Ivy, OL Richmond, DB Muhammad, DB McGhee, DL Fox, LB Cole, WR Jones, FB Jackson October 2023: OL Richmond, DL Haba, DL Garbutt, DL Fox, WR Alston, DB Lawrence, DB McGhee We’ve been carrying a ton of OL on the practice roster since 2022 and it’s netted us absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, we’ve carried literally one linebacker, zero running backs, no receivers who have amounted to anything (mostly due to not ever getting an opportunity), a kicker that was absolute trash, a fullback and usually a DB or two. Obviously these are just snapshots, but the formula isn’t working. Look at the turnover and look what it’s amounted to. This is not how we should be using this part of our roster at all.

Tangentially speaking, this question is precisely why I think that Dukes won't raise a fuss if he is shown the bench after The Chad returns. He and his agent know that they're auditioning for one of those big $400k+ starter QB deals when his current contract expires.

Kelly will have the starting spot waiting for him in week 12 at home against the Riders. (and in fairness to Chungh, he won't be against Ceresna/Brinkman/Flo/Smith every week... those guys + Oakman will likely make a few O-Lines have a rough night)

  28. Did you notice Dukes called LaPo "Sir", a couple of times during their halftime sideline interview. He must have known LaPo was a former CFL coach. Nice to see Dukes call him sir after the debacle that was Chad Kelly & his arrogance. I just can't see how Kelly can ever play another down for the Argos. Chungh only plays well if the guys around him do. If they don't, then he's lost. Yeah, I love to give it to Chungh because BC constantly makes him one of the highest paid guards in the CFL. He's not that good & he makes big time CFL money.

  29. Sukh Chungh on one play looked like a pylon. The Bombers at least have a semblance of an OL. That Lions group just stinks. Great to see a team "with such high expectations" according to every panelist on TSN get knocked off its pedestal. Speaking of TSN, Paul LaPolice has to be used way better than he is now on TSN. The guy is a walking football factory of knowledge & he engages with the camera so people will love him. What do the producers at TSN do? Hey, let's try him in the booth for a game. He excels. Check. Let's put him on the sidelines for a game. He excels. Check. Let's put him in a corner with but not with the other studio panelists because he shows them all up. He excels. Check. The guy needs to be TSN's main talking head as he excels at whatever he does even if it bruises a few egos in the studio. The guy is a natural. And I'll take Farhan Lalji over Kate Bierness as host anytime.

  33. I just realized in Montreal’s last 3 games, their D has made both the last 2 MOP QB’s look like old pee diapers. Maybe they’re just really, really good. If ZC plays like that against Ottawa though, I’m calling him Uncle Rico from then on.
