Love it. Relentless lunch pail dude who does the dirty work on teams and does it well. Noticed him making a lot of solid teams tackles last year, but people tell me his teams game is much deeper than just chasing kicks...
  2. I like the Cadwallader signing.
  3. WHY not...based on career Sayles averages more tackle a yr, and only 1 less sack per....and is younger....so quite comparable really if you look at the play of both. Sayles as well is mire durable and misses less time....Not saying he is a guy you spend like a drunken sailor on but a fair deal he is a good piece on your dline, especially if you can add another interior guy to go along with Lawson and him
  4. โ€œIโ€™ve been speaking to (Kramdi and Nichols) both a little bit. Having them back as key parts of the defence is really important. Redhaโ€™s our quarterback back there. Same with Deatrick. Theyโ€™re both really good guys to work with. And they also have kind of the same mindset. We want to win. We want to win now. And we want to be good every day. They have high standards that I like and resonate with. And they help me be a better player. And theyโ€™re good dudes, too. Theyโ€™re pretty funny.โ€ Evan holm just thought was an interesting quote. Definitely regarding Kramdi.
  5. For me it's not about $$ it's about finding that absolute force in the middle. Sayles reminds me of Vega. He's above average but not someone who is going to be dominate game in and game out. I wouldn't be disappointed if the Bombers signed Sayles, but I wouldn't want to place all my hope in him turning around the DL....if that makes sense.

Don't know what kind of coin Sayles is asking but I think it would be a good move to pick him up....Solid when he played here....give it a shot

Oh hell yeah....If we draft good...recruit and use FA effectively Corcorran shouldnt make it outta camp

Not necessarily. After he signed his new deal, BLM said it may be a 2 year deal but he's still evaluating things yearly & could very well call it quits after this season. He just has a bit of security knowing he has a contract for 2027 should he decide to continue.

  10. nice, beast on teams. with the nfl poachings heโ€™s easily one of the best dl thatโ€™ll be available. One of him and ceresna would be fantastic. Between the two Iโ€™d easily take Sayles though. Hes comparable as a pass rusher, but worlds better as a run stopper, easily the best 3t against the run in the league. And hes versatile enough to play 4i extremely well.
  11. Casey Sayles is the definition of "...meh..." IMO.
  12. 2 points
Ticats have released Sayles, cmon walters pick up that phone!
  13. ahhh....gotcha....but none the less a players career and his talent level has really no bearing on anything....as well as if never played...Some giys are just made to be able to coach, get points and strategy accross, and to actually demonstrate....and most hone that craft over yrs...and it's a rarity to just plop a gy into the pro coaching ranks with zero experience...and or zero idea if they can do the job....other than we really liked hi as a player...he so smart..etc...etc I would want the best players and coaches available on my team, not some gifted placement....

Same as Thomas. I've told you I don't agree with more & more inexperienced players coaching at the pro level when you have coaches at U Sport who have more experience that don't. It's done because of the coaching cap. Teams can hire them for cheap.
  16. He played 2 years with us and 3 with Hamilton so he falls just outside that 4 year period (we signed him in April 2021).
  17. Wasn't Sayles a Bomber find in the last 4 years? Woods/Fox/Adams have all been solid but suffered from lack of playing imo.
  18. That first sentence of yours is a narrative that has to be changed for our league.

I sure did enjoy his playmaking abilities at the WJโ€™s. Regardless the Jets need some infusion of young elite talent to help support their core.
  20. Mission Impossible Yeah, I'd go as far as saying, there were many games where JJ was a our best defender, and it wasn't even close

Not sure if it's been posted but the Argos brought in Ka'Deem Carey as RB coach...

Much better effort by the Jets tonight and finally getting puck luck.

Iโ€™m not sure being a cfl all star says much. I think heโ€™s meh also. I think Iโ€™d rather give some rookies a shot. Plus sayles probably released cuz he wasnโ€™t worth what Hamilton was paying him. Hamilton was a very bad D.

I bought a Swaggerville shirt from JJ that he was selling from the trunk of his car.

Iโ€™m not even lying but thatโ€™s who I picture you both as. And trust me that is a huge compliment Honestly. Would it be a shoot or work like this one was? Mosca was a former pro wrestler. He knew how to make it look real. Iโ€™d like to see bob shoot punch Luke Wilson but he wonโ€™t. Iโ€™m kinda surprised Zach didnโ€™t tho as he worked the panel with him at GC week. But they seemed like bros. unrelated Zach Is another one and he might be on the panel before Bo. He lives in Ontario. Bo has 2 years. Zach has 1.
  28. in the cfl and football in general, full on tear down rebuilds seldom work. Youโ€™ve got to identify in season some talent worth keeping and developing then add. I hope we get the add part right this off season. yep. But not with an army of fringe roster guys who donโ€™t play, like we did last year at wr. Youโ€™re right on ksb, but iโ€™d take that in a heartbeat as the 3rd ni wr on the roster. But upgrade over corcoran.
  29. He actually got a pretty good deal offered by the Rider's...but he didnt wanna play anywhere else so hung em up...I think an Eastern team as well did but my mind is slipping on that one We bungled that bigtime and we payed and payed well for other injury issue guys, and for guys who..well just couldnt cut it....I'd take his 13..14 games over several of the pylons we dressed....and he always showed up come playoffs....in a huge way Bud Grant was a phenomenal player by the way....go revisit history not just soft...pointless and pre-determined with who is playing...so almost useless he's a eye test star...Looks the part...but isnt what you think Horrible route runner...questionable hands....injury issues...Looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane If he gets over 145k per...thats a gift and he should be thankful Ajou was eye test only, as in looked the part....even had horrible measurables too for a guy of his build...he's a worse version of KSB....But both have the same ability in being douchewhistles on the field tho
  30. Cue the music from Deliverence.
  31. First of all Riderfans wouldn't know what tampering means and second of all if you're not related to any of them biologically you're safe in what they would want to do with you.
  32. Exactly what I was thinking. Shaving around the edges then buffering it with upgrades.

That looks like a pretty solid move.

Apparently Jovon Johnson hired as position coach for the Argos... From 3DN: "The Toronto Argonauts are set to hire former CFL standout Jovon Johnson as the teamโ€™s defensive backs coach, per sources. The 42-year-old has spent the last six years coaching at the high school and collegiate levels in the United States, most recently as the special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach at Gannon University."

  36. Imagine this crew as the CFL panel. You could rotate the two drunks every week to ensure you're getting fan representation from all CFL teams. The panel would be moderated by Bob Irving and Luke Wilson to help fuel the fireworks. TSN has no idea what it's doing.

Barker is a good football guy and is very connected....and well respected in football circles both sides of the norder...TSM just made him look like an unhinged at times freak...The Argo's are smart to put him in place to resurrect their team before it gets to dumpster fire territory TSN Dbags totally lost the feel of what football fans would want....keeping the wrong people yup!!...People shouldnt go by with how TSN had him act...The guy is moocho connected and respected...and he definately has a knack/talent for finding talented players who will thrive in CFL

Say what you want about Barker, but the guy is a stud recruiter. I wish we would have hired him.
