He was basically out of the game by the time they started stopping Mills. Didn't get any pressure either.

Think we have a lot of guys who need to show some progression in real games on the DL.

We need interior guys who can push up front & take care of the A & B gaps run wise. We don't seem to have anyone who can mix it up inside, get after the qb & create chaos. To me, the building blocks of a ghreat defense starts on the DL. We've improved but not enough.

We lost on the Doink and the pick in the endzone. Those 2 plays cost us 6 points with a good chance at 10.

Yep. That's the way the ball bounces.

I'm not as down as some others on our D. Mitchell was throwing dimes all night long in bad conditions and Wheatfall was making circus like catches. It was concerning that we had zero pressure without blitzing and that the DB's definitely were outplayed.

Not our night tonight.

That was tough to watch live. Thankfully my PVR failed so I can't go over the game again tonight and be even more frustrated with the D.

Just got back from the game. I can almost live with a sputtering offense. But watching that defense was painful for me. Crazy that we thought they would be the strong part of our team this year. Putrid.

When there's no pressure on Mitchell & he can sign a ball every time he throws means the secondary gets lit up. And they did.

The offense was far from "sputtering" The defense absolutely blew a fantastic Collaros performance. Watched the post game from O'Shea last, you know we all knew the same issue, which was the defense.

We're just not good. We've stuck with vets for far too long and let go players that are turning into superstars elsewhere. Sad to say, but I think O'Shea is a big part of the problem and we need some fresh blood at the HC.

Name one player that is turning into a superstar? Wheatfall? Maybe if he can do this consistently because inconsistency is why we let him walk. Who else? Myron Mitchell...surely you jest.

If you wanna talk Dobson or Lawler that's 100 percent on Walters not nailing them down. Liegghio? Lmao.

i've said...he not a good evaluator of talent...or what makes a guy real good on the field...he values things that are nice for maybe your last 3..4 roster spots...but to select and engage the actual talented guys in a group to compliment themselves...he just doesn't get it and his Canadian bias and his stubborn nature not to use rules in place to help him actual maximize his roster isn't helping matters. As I understand he was the only vote against the Nationized Canadian on the rules committee and this is his statement to show his displeasure...You cant have that in a HC putting personal issues above team

Younger needs to....or be told to tone down what he trying to do. Way too much moving around of players and severely impeding cohesion...and no wonder guys look lost cause at times many likely are...takes one guy to trash the whole scheme and I sure at times player A looking lost or beat like a rented mule could be a direct result of player B totally screwing up his assignment...or having to think, as opposed to react and that split second or 2 is killing us...repeatedly.

Showing the same scheme but swapping guys around in who is at each position, or taking out a guy to bring in a rotation guy isn't fooling anyone...or having any beneficial effect...over and over. And if yu have a weaker guy...aka Kelly coming in in lieu of a starter and just getting schooled 9 times outta 10...whats the point...If you don't have an equal or better option...leave the starter out there in their main/best position

Run off your base set...with the best of your 12....rotate as needed or accordingly and focus on stuff you do well and works. What we have been doing is way excessive and hurts more than it helps...simplify and perfect...then instal things into your base systems

Nobody stood out in a real positive moment for whole game...they all looked useless at times but I certain that leads to what I mentioned above.

Our best guys overall were Griffin...Williams,,(who will het batter as he goes)..Holm..(But he needs help as he a waif and is still poor on the run) so Kelly in there who is a waif too is suicide...and we seen that repeatedly for 2 yrs now, and I like what Reese showed in limited reps...Jenkins...is he cemented in as it seems he was pretty much a lock due to one game last yr? He has shown nothing what he showed in that game...Jones and Wilson...Good as that DA depth but again...they were essentially secured their spot day 1 of camp...did Shay even see a defensive snap?...If they dont wanna play him...or feel he is not better than the old guard we employ...why he here? we don't need ST demon laden lineup...we need contributors and playmakers, and if that means we gotta play some rookie here and there, and or let our second yr guys...Smith/Shay..whomever step in, and grow with their ups and downs...so be it...thats the only way they will develop and get better....or play themselves off team and allow you to realize you need to look elsewhere

On a different note...Cant say anything bad about ZC...He played well and was making throws he had to for most part...isnt forcing things like before and as season moves on with Condell he could put up a real good season...But we need another WR out there that is an option/threat....The 3rd Canadian experiment needs to end

In reality the difference this game was our inability to stop the run. That’s the difference. 31 rush attempts 171 yards. We had 49 Ish

Net O bombers 459

Hamilton 455

421 of bombers were passing

289? was passing by Bo.

Bombers couldn’t stop the run. And we couldn’t run tonight because 1. Our oline wasn’t creating holes, and 2 we couldn’t get Hamilton off the field. When losing it’s hard to run.

when your scheme you run 90 percent of time is dropping out 8 cover guys to try and 'trick' teams in how to bet you in the pass game..pretty easy to run roughshod over a bunch of DB type guys...Or LB's playing 7..8 yards outside the box...And then when your DB's are confused from being yanked all over the field and having to knoww 2..3 different positions...well we see what we get

I dunno. Wheatfall was inconsistent as hell. And fumbled the ball in ot last week. Dobson. Yeah. That was dumb but he got paid. Didn’t think the O was the issue tho.

who hasn't fumbled tho and his play up to that point got them..or helped them get to O.T...I recall BO also making some nutkicking fumbles...it happens...and i not sure being avoided some games and under OC guy last yr any receiver should be held accountable for that fiasco last yr. He put up just shy of 700 yards and 4 scores...he's better than anyone on our roster not named White/Poke/Demski/Neild right now

I agree with you Offence wasn't the issue btw...But moving on from a second yr receiver who showed potential and replacing him with the Canadian value pack wasnt wise...And we coulda paid Dobson...we chose not to....All we needed to do was cut ties with 1 old decaying vet...

He could have got paid here. Walters cheaped out. The Bombers gave up on Wheatfall. Fumbles happen all the time.

That old decaying vet is now sitting on the bench as Dobson's backup in Hamilton. We give up on Wheatfall yet we let that garbage bag of a Center start & collect a salary for 4 seasons.

Cobb is just a waste of time, space & money. He should only be on the field playing on specials. Not starting. At this rate he'll start all 18 games & won't get 30 catches for 300 yards receiving. The Osh effect: Why have 6 receivers starting when 5 won't do? Gotta get that extra 2nd round draft pick.

I guess I wasn't clear. Id much rather see a team where the offense is sputtering and the defense is getting the ball back over and over. It was more of a hypothetical. I agree our offense has been very good

Couldnt stop the run or the pass. Pathetic showing.

There are a few players on D that shouldn't be out there and last night they stood out.

whats 411 on Hicks...wanna use him in fantasy

The offense looked good, D looked awful, I got soaked, all in all not a fun night as a Bomber fan.

Looks like he's positioned to be the "lightning" in a thunder & lightning combo? In what little I've seen, he looked promising... but we couldn't run at all last season (for many reasons)... So he may be a good "value" fantasy player, or he may be the first attempt in a position that gets roster-churnned until someone sticks (which didn't happen in '25)

Edit to add: @Booch I was reluctant to mention this (because I believe in jinxes), but I am actually more hopeful for the kid from Guelph who is in there with Hicks.

Edited by bluto

The D was bowling shoe ugly last night and I'm with a lot of the other people saying Younger has just gotten way too cute. It's like he decided at some point that the chess match part of football is the only part - at some point, you have to just let these guys go out and play ball rather than trying so hard to confuse the other team that you confuse yourself.

One thing I did notice is that Jenkins (so far) appears to be yet another guy in the long line of "seniority" awards. Reese and Dixon (in limited action) have both looked more noticeable. We really need some impact playmaking linebackers, the ones we have are just there existing, but they don't really bring a whole lot to the table and let's be honest, if their veteran leadership and awareness is leaving them just as confused as every other player on the field then at least get some young hungry guy who is gonna rip a guy's head off instead of whiffing on every tackle (looking at you Kyrie Wilson)

Final comment on the D - either our man coverage cushion is by design absolutely WAY too soft, Deatrick Nichols is 100% cooked or maybe both.

As for the offense, no complaints whatsoever. Collaros looking like he turned the clock back a few years. Nield looks like a gamer and I'll go ahead and say he's probably our number 1 Canadian receiver at this point ... I'm fine with those four guys and Cobb if that's how they can all play. Who cares about a productive fifth receiver? Hamilton's fifth receiver yesterday was Tyler Ternowski. Not the most important spot. I'm impressed by Condell so far.
