I swear this game was recorded by the same guy who captured Bigfoot but with a newer camera.

Yeah, the calibre of video we got was only acceptable if the guys doing it were volunteers.

I think the overall showing from "new talent" this year is pretty poor. It's been bad for a few years now. I wouldn't expect a lineup of rookies to be competitive but you're always looking for the wow moment from a rookie and I can't say I saw a single one in either preseason game.

Yeah that one handed pick six by a LB right off the line was a pile of ****.

I think it's right to be excited about Elgersma. There's a lot to work with there. His numbers look like **** but we're talking like 8 drops in 2 games, a couple walk in touchdowns on big plays if the receiver finishes his route.

Singer seems to be the guy getting the most raves, he made a lot of drops and struggles on the vertical routes.

I guess I watched a different game, I thought their was a lot of positives in tonights game.

The score really didn't tell the full story, the secondary for which I assume none of these guys are going to start was the reason for it being lopsided. I really liked the pressure of our d-line and the solid tackling from most of the guys.

On O , the makeshift o-line did a great job protecting both QB's. Singer looked like he belongs. TE made the right decisions and good throws. Perkins didn't help his cause but looked much better after trying to not force things. I wish that they had given him the 3rd quarter, that was a big mistake from the team. Clearly he needs to be moving around and won't succeed as a drop back passer.

Special Teams looked good.

Overall we looked good against Rourke and company and outside of some crappy play by **** players like Stuart, things look good.

Now the fact that so many of our vets basically didn't play at all during pre season... that might be another story.

We sound AWFUL based on the radio broadcast... Like terrified for the season.

It's pre season. Get a grip.

Yup perfect example that football is the ultimate team sport when it comes to the BB’s success or lack of and in this case scouting and being held accountable for their piece of the pie.

It was the worst pre-season stream yet. At the beginning they didn't have CJOB in sync. The play was over before they started describing it. They showed folks in the crowd instead of the plays. Showed ads while the play was going on. Pure amateur hour.

Not sure Osh' mindset going into these games..no vets get any work and we have had rusty starts due to it....And why give TE most the game, you see what he is about..Live arm...some pocket awareness but needs a lot of seasoning, and needs to just relax and let play come to him,,,,We then have Perkins playing with all crap really, so tough to gauge.

I think he will be fine, he just needs to also settle in and play his game and not worry about show casing his arm...there were a few times he had acres of yards he coulda ate up but was too occupied with trying to show some passing chops and forced..or awkwardly tossed balls he didnt need too...play his game...roll outs..sprint outs...RPO stuff and his passing will look a lot better, as history in 2 leagues and college will show...

Fredrickson as well...all game...while others got reps here and there...sure he caught a few but also muffed several and was basically fed 80% of the passes tonight...and did nothing with it really...both games...and basically does zero after the catch...like running in mud...The one drop was a direct result of his lack of athleticism and vertical...couldnt get his big body up to make the catch. Singer has won and should b the 5th receiver, as he is a returner, and sure dropped one he should have had but is explosive and has big play ability, and pair him with the starting Offence as the 5th guy...he will look damn good. I sure they will PR Fredrickson tho as they have some fascination with him I do not see.

None of the oline guys made a case to be a starter...who and what they keep will be interesting

Dixon and Jenkins I think made roster..who is the "starter" and who the DA is the question...and really irrelevant as both will see lotsa reps...as both can slide inside. Fletcher too made a case for PR at worst...versatile...moved well....was disruptive. Reese as well PR at worst....Best get off of any end we have and has a motor....Clinton too should be kept...he's good...fast...closes like a bullett.

DB's are a crapshoot...We know we set with Holm...Nichols...Moxey...that other corner is the only question...Looks to me Williams is front runner and just looks most ready. Also have to consider Lamont as we know Osh likes his vets, and he did nothing to play himself off the team and that was playing with scrubs and guys who will be cut. Place him with the starting group and he would be just fine. And the fact we had Jaylen Smith in a 2 man safety role at times, and Vaval will be a DA and likely DB backup we prob don't DA an extra DB so it frees up Dline help. With Griffin...Smiths emergence...Kramdi at safety if we sustain a DB injury Griffin can easily slide out to one the spots and Kramdi or Smith take over SAM....

One thing i find odd was that all this talk and hype about Daniels...we basically ignored him and had zero involvement of him in passing game...like wtf?...See what he can do catching and route running...unless we hiding it for the real season it was a bit perplexing...and If they don't plan to use I have a a hard time seeing an AR spot for him as he really showed nothing in his reps we couldnt get with an extra olineman, or using MCI or Clercius as a TE

Glad I was in my seat and didnt have to watch it...The use of the new scoreboards was good tho...basically full screen of plays....minimal ad interruption. And the new ribbon boards below the ring of honour and at field level are pretty nice and slick...stadium looks good...best in league by far for game presentation

I totally agree.....mickey mouse by a bunch of amateurs at best....I don't even recall the 61 yard field goal by Castillo, as the camera work went missing, and a lot of times was just filming the turf...Horrendous for the poor players trying to showcase their stuff.....I hope we don't see another garbage production like that in the future

His hands are nowhere good enough to be as slow as he is.

Nope....and as a sloth footed receiver with no other assets to roster....no way he should be on it

Singer more than proved he belongs in 2 capacities...His catch at the 2 to set up the TE sneak TD was as good as you will see...

That one play where he was already in 2nd gear running with easily 5+ yards of free space and then him stopping and awkwardly throwing to his right completely off balance made me think he was told no running at all.

I was also wondering for the interception if he was trying too hard to make a play knowing that he had limited time.

The arm isn't the greatest but it wasn't Russ Michna level of noodle-ness.

My take is that singer is the guy to go with as a rookie receiver. He's more versatile and more dangerous of the two guys who got a decent amount of targets. Whoever #15 was absolutely useless and makes me wonder how he even got an invite...

Jenkins on the DL is a starter. No doubt in my mind. He was consistently good in both preseason games. Few other guys looked good but there were also periods where the dl didn't get any push and I couldn't tell who was out there when that was happening.

Dbs hard to really say, major Wilson seems like he might be solid.

Stuart is going to be good but I think he’s a development guy this year. Kelly hasn't seemed to progress and honestly he should be a potential cut given some of the new blood.

On OB they it was mentioned that he told them he didn't want to run too much because he was told that wouldn't get him on the team. So he tried to run to throw. It did seem like he ended up running for his life and going back to more run threat.

When are cuts due

When are cuts due

Last year it was 10pm local time so I'm guessing it's similar this year.

The question, as always, is when will they be made public...

Will Perkins leave the team next? Kinda foreshadowing how much playtime he'd receive in the regular season.

Shouldve seen a lot more carries for MCI this pre season

No can do. How can T.E throw the ball all game if he's handing off?

Why would he leave the team? Don’t you think it’s important to get your 24 year old QB the majority of game reps. Perkins is 29 and can probably pick up the offense better. No doubt they see him as more of the short yardage guy. Get the kid some important reps and try to build his confidence. I don’t think this forshadows anything. I really don’t see Perkins be anything more then a short yardage and change of pace guy. He simply does not have the arm to make the wide wide field throws that are so important in the CFL.

I only caught the last 2 quarters, I liked what I was seeing from Elgersma, Perkins definitely has some great tools for escapability and a solid arm. More reps with the starters in practice should help his development, Elgersma is definitely our #2 from what I saw.
