Like Kolankowski and Bighill.....

Doesn't count when the GM takes the decision out of his hands.

I don't mind bringing Wilson in as veteran insurance... what I do want to see is new guys coming into camp with a real chance of replacing the old vets like him.  I dont' want them giving him the job by default while keeping a potential starter on a bench getting extremely limited reps.

Things were going so well this off season, and then they just couldn’t help them selves and decided to get the gang back together. 2019 is going to be 7 years ago this season. You can rationalize bringing back one or two of these guys ( I would have moved on from all 3 but that’s just me) but all 3.. Clearly Walters and O’Shea are still living in the glory days; if teams like Montreal can move on from a 28 year old star because of injuries and objectively not living up to his contract I think it’s a no brainer about Wilson.

Wont you be surprised when Bighill is announced as LB coach and Kolankowski shows up in the obits.

Yeah, the job is his even if he comes to camp injured and doesn't practice a single time. We know how O'Shea operates at this point. Veterans don't need practice and they certainly don't need to be evaluated.

the real concern is always will we put the best players in position to play, and will we give young guys their shot?

The best way to insure that isn’t a problem is to get rid or guys like kyrie.

How many guys have we moved on from by way of mos/bench/cut vs off season not extending releasing etc

By my count at moment...none...and TC and what is witnessed and how we break camp will be telling

My gut says...much of the same and best players...or guys who if allowed to grow in with a few bumps along way to be really good by mid-season...won't be played and osh will ride and grind aged guys..and his chosen ones into non success

Up to the Bryant signing, I was onboard with what they are doing. The Wilson signing I don't like at all. I assume there'll be maybe 2 or 3 more signings of older veterans before the FA window opens Feb 1st. Then Walters will tell us that we don't have the money left for any impact CFL free agents. Now, I'm thinking same old, same old with the emphasis on old. Younger guys will be screwed over. Osh & Walters gonna ride these guys into the sunset.

At this point, I think we've brought back the right vets and released/not signed the right players... looking at our list of FAs, there aren't any more "must signs" on the list... Makonzo is an intriguing player that I would like to actually see play... but other than him, no one on that list needs to be back

White or Mack aren't must signings? Oh sorry, missed the "our list of FA's". My bad.

Can Tim White block like a Bomber?

outside of clercius/woli, our wrs haven’t been those guys for a while. with demskis more demanding down field role, schoens injuries, and baileys departure we lost that culture.

We got a couple guys who are alright. But not much, nothing like what we used to have.

Once Bailey, Adams & Woli left, that tough as nails & sacrificial culture went with them.

So if your Smith or Shay, how pissed are you? I'd be pissed to know they signed an aging vet whose going to get pencilled in.

i’d be counting the days till contract is up

Tim White to the Bombers on a one year deal

Gotta be honest, don’t love that

Signing a guy with 4 consecutive 1000 yard seasons and who has remained healthy.   Yup terrible signing!

His receptions to targets was better then Kenny Lawler and nearly the same as KeeSean Johnson.

Can I ask why?

I like it as long as hes not the big FA signing. Hes a solid piece to a wr group.

Didn’t say it was a terrible signing. Just doesn’t really suit the kind of receiver I was hoping for.

5’9”, gonna be 32 years old, fits that Justin Hardy style I just don’t really think I want with the pieces we already have.

It's an upgrade over Sterns.    It's helluva lot more likely that he will produce over Logan/Mitchell/Sterns did last season.

Now if they can get Dunbar or Rhymes (assuming on a good deal) a tall receiver then that would be really nice.      Or heaven forbid the club recruits and brings in fresh blood and gives them a chance.
