One way or another - its good we signed Elgersma. We get to see him in camp - and evaluate. I'm glad they didn't sign him last year with the 'squid' of an O.C. we had (Hogan) - would have been disastrous.

Elgersma signs!

Did anybody doubt he would..........?

I think he becomes one of the most interesting training camp stories now. Let's see how fast he gets up to speed.

Bold prediction!

I mean we have to take it with a grain of salt like any quarterback that comes here after a college career, and some time in the NFL. There’s a lot to be excited about but there’s no guarantees. I hope he can come in with a good attitude and not let his cup of coffee in the NFL go to his head. He’ll have to continue to work hard and earn a spot. A lot of guys have come up here and underestimated the talent and thought they would instantly dominant and get a ticket back to the NFL but that’s very seldomly the case.

Looking forward to the daily Elgersma TC report.

glad he finally made it here, it’s good timing for us and for him.

For us, it doesn’t fix our qb situation but it does deepen our talent pool and we need any help we can get at qb.

That said, now that he’s signed if any one would give us a second or higher back for him in this draft class i’d take it in a heart beat.

He does have a ton of talent, and I think he has a chance to be good. I could see mos falling in love with him.

It would be hilarious if he was one of the first cuts though. Small chance it happens too, we have a quick process of elimination for qbs no matter the talent. if they don’t show the mental toughness and mental capabilities quickly they get shown the door.

taylor didn’t see the field today, but he was giving this blank stare i don’t like, should cut him.

Saw him throw a ball under arm to a coach on the side line and not to over blow it, he might be the goat

@wbbfan , you're hired. I don't know about everybody else but I can offer remuneration of one coffee a day.

Soooo, based on the hype we can trade ZC for a bag of footballs?

Anyone ever heard of this Elgersma kid?

I heard he was never going to sign here and was only willing to play closer to home...

Winnipeg is much closer than Birmingham…so partial truth to that rumor

Can it be? From Facebook:

May be an image of football and text that says 'Connor Hrabchak @ConnorHrabchak1 This is a big signing for the Blue & Gold. Elgersma is a 6'5, 227-pound who was drafted 18th overall in the 2025 CFL draft. He was a first team all-Canadian in 2024 and won the Heo Crighton Trophy as the top player in U Sports when he threw for 4,252 yards, 35 TDs, and 11 INTs. il LAURIER'

I once heard that Zach Collaros would never play for our team because his wife was a teacher out in Ontario.
