Brandon Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago What a dog fight of a game. Edmonton came to play and played very hard on both lines. You can tell the guys are trying hard for Killam and I hope they give him a chance even if they start out 0 - 6 again. Lots of hard tackling and I think mid game it woke up the Bombers and they started to match the intensity. Even with the terrible 3rd quarter it was an entertaining game. Zach looked better, had good protection and made an equal amount of good throws to his bad throws. The old arm I think is failing him and he's still under throwing some deep balls, I hope this is just rust. Tre Ford wasn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be. Had that receiver caught that easy TD it may have changed the outcome of the game. The Bombers did a great job of containing him and mentally I think Ford is weak. In the 3rd and 4th quarter several times he pouted to the refs looking for phantom calls and those 2 deep balls with 4 minutes left were bad decisions. He should be lucky that the refs didn't call the several blatant holds that gave him time in the first half. The last drive he floated some weird throws that were questionable. Still a question mark on the guy but he wasn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be. My 2nd game of watching Jake Thomas.... In the 2nd quarter he had one good rush where he was being held and should of been a call. Other then that... he is a pylon who still gets pushed around. Completely useless. Lawson wasn't that great in the first half but he was the guy that rushed Ford on the Bonds "interception" that was called off. Clercius had a good come back game after a rough outing last week, I hope he gets more involved. Sterns also isn't as bad as people make him out to be, I'm ok with him playing. Vaval with a brutal fumble which could of completely turned the game on us had Kramdi not made that huge play. We had full momentum and his botch killed it completely. Glad it didn't factor in the end. Blue-urns and Deiter Fan 2

Gave it to us in both long quarters when he chose the ball. Probably cost his team 6 points at least. Noeller 1

Granted it may have been the right call but there was nothing on replay that supported it. Every angle was either motion blurred, too far away or blocked.
wbbfan Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Forget the hot air blowing all day about phantom wind (real or not, impactful or not.) The coaching decision of the day to talk about is not challenging the dpi. 3 point swing with possession, and that was the worst dpi in ages. That call was so offensively soft and wrong it deserved to be challenged no matter yardage or points. That was disgusting. BigBlueFanatic and BBlink 1 1

Honestly I’m still torn on that one. His second arm placement, he tucks it and rolls, it was a mess even with a ton of angles all day to review and nearly frame by frame slow mo. I can’t stand that inconsistency though. If that’s how you review, do it every time. You can’t work that hard to over turn a call once in a while. They get way to many calls wrong and miss to many to be taking that much time to make one random call right. But if you’re gonna do that, you gotta do em all like that. 4 minutes ago, HardCoreBlue said: And when wind is a factor (and even when its not), another reason why establishing a run game is so vital. Them giving up on the run when the game was close was soo stupid. They could’ve gone ground n pound on us. In general mak used a lot of bomber ball stuff tonight. Jet motion, izr, the motion screen etc. but he got away from what had them in a position to win the game. Much better team than I expected them to be though. And they aren’t a free spot on the bingo card any more. They get more confident and start expecting to compete each game and it’ll yield results. BigBlueFanatic and Deiter Fan 2
JuranBoldenRules Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Edmonton's best runs were mostly draws. Under 4 ypc on 1st downs. Still trying to make Ford a real QB. Won't implement RPO system that would give him a chance to be lethal. Blue-urns and Noeller 2

You may be right but It would have been nice to get half as many angles on it as they gave the Bonds non-interception instead of one from outside the stadium.
wbbfan Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago How bout this to, shanky legs averaged 43.8 per punt but with no hang time at all and leake gobbled up an easy 13.6 per return. 30.2 net which set up a ton of drives from mid field. Grace net was 39. Poor Sheahan must’ve been punting into that wind all night 🤧 BigBlueFanatic 1

He had some pretty brutal throws last week. We need him to play up to expectations not down to a bad team. Wr core step up. Keric has stepped up but as of yet no one else has and we need a lot more to elevate their level of play. players to watch, the front 6, vaval, Wallace, both RBs, vaval, ayers. 6 hours after this post and voila!

They'll fight hard losing close games Like tonight trying to make Ford an actual qb until they can't anymore. By then, it'll be too late & the Elks season will be lost. When that happens, the Elks will fall apart & another year will be wasted by a coaching staff trying to do domething that won't happen. Turning Ford into a pocket passer. You don't actually see the ball touch the ground/any pebble fly. Obviously my opinion is worth squat. Edited 14 minutes ago by Deiter Fan
