They made the end zones 15 yards, not 10. They made the play clock 35 seconds, not 40. They kept the width of the field and the rouge, they just slightly altered other aspects of those two categories.

The changes are stupid and won't improve the game. The overall effect is to tone down all the cool and quirky rules that make the league unique. It's a shame, and will probably be followed by more of the same. Can't believe we're seriously nerfing the rouge like this...

How do cfl numbers compare to nfl numbers in Canada. ? Is the nfl games on Thursday and Sunday drawing like way more Canadians than the cfl does? Cuz young ppl like soccer and hockey. And Roblox and iPads and anime and things like this, comics are extremely popular. Card collecting. Shoe collecting. I’m not sure this draws any young person. Have Taylor Swift do half time at the grey cup.in Winnipeg. She’s a fan of Winnipeg (I have a pic of me and her when she wasn’t as famous but still famous ) and collaros and Kelce are buds so make it happen if you wanna draw the young ones. But this might work cuz some of the diehards are pissed and young ppl like pissing off older people.

If you aren’t in the prairies or you are under 55, you prefer the NFL.

That’s wild. Quebec only has the als. Not as popular as thought. Maritimes has no teams. I mean. BC is BC. Toronto wants to be the USA very bad. And you can’t change that.

Things to improve the game/viewership:

Remove or increase Coaching cap
Invest heavily in amatuer sport/family engagment/youth participation etc etc

I can't wait for all those people who don't watch the CFL because it's boring/has a 100yrd field/has the rouge to come pouring in next year!!

Apart from Winnipeg and Sask games, the empty seats in most stadiums are concerning, to say the least. I'm not sure these rule changes will impact attendance but it doesn't surprise me they're making major changes to the game.

I'm fine with some of these rule changes, as I don't think they'll significantly affect the quality or excitement of the game. However, I'm not sure about the time clock change and how it will play out. I'd hate to see the exciting CFL finishes diminished because of that. If they ever go to 4 downs and a narrower field, that will be the death of the game as we know it.

The 18 - 30 year old male/female market can be drawn into going for the gameday experience.  It should work great for Winnipeg/Regina since we really don't have many options for young people to go out and socialize.   Comparing that to Montreal/Toronto/Vancouver which has a million options.  Those places will have great challenges. 

As said before the only thing that can attract new younger fans (kids) is parents.  Unfortunately the birth rate is in a sharp decline so the market for future fans is dwindling at a rapid rate.

Wade supporting it isn’t a surprise but still a disappointment. But it sounds like they didn’t consult usports at all which is criminal.
