I feel like Elgersma ends up on the Green Bay PR.

I hope so, but I don’t think he will.

I really don’t know about that. He’s not a feel good story down there like he would be up here. It costs them nothing to get rid of him and bring in another body they like better.

I think his talent is top tier, but his polish needs a lot of work and time. Not a great investment for them unless they really love his intangibles and coaching/locker room fit.
That’s the best case for us imo. Have him in camp next year with a year of nfl coaching.
Other wise I’d alternate him n chase on the ir to keep both around.

OL Justin Mayers out of Colorado has been added to the PR. Went to Broncos mini-camp this year but got cut. Played Guard throughout his NCAA career.

Listed at 6'4", 320. Pure guard. Interesting add.

Yeah interesting move. I don’t know that they look at him as a T project either. Elite run blocker, if he picks things up fast we might go back to 3 imp ol. This move smacks of wanting an imp guard.

DB Jordan Taylor (James Madison) might be getting signed. He was added to the neg list on Saturday and removed on Sunday.

Not a Smurf but not overly tall, either.

If Oliviera is to be effective, we need to have better blocking at guard and center as teams are clogging up the middle on us. To me, it would be a helluva lot easier and quicker to replace Kolankowski as his ineptness affects the inside run game and also makes life a lot harder for Neufeld and Wallace.

Brady has been effective, but yeah, better interior play would help. And primarily around the C spot.

Bridges has been released from the practice roster.

Not shocked by that at all.

What’s odd is we went from ride or die with him as starter to gone soo fast. Never should’ve made the team out of camp. But atleast hes gone now.

That's interesting just because it rarely happens with the team. Last time I can think of it happening was 2022 with Tyquan Glass.

think he was the last db, though we had a bunch before him at db. Did Johnson spent the year on the pr after being benched last year?

Maybe he wasn’t willing to sit on the pr, perhaps he knew Jy wouldn’t put him back on?

I would think Ayers (or Lofton) will be demoted to PR. Am I right that we can only put 13 players on it?

I'll correct myself. I think, Benson will be activated back from IR, then Leroux will be put to PR. 😁

My exact thoughts. Untouchable for 1/3 of the season and then gone.

To be honest I don’t really fault O’Shea and Walters for this one in particular. Seems like they liked him, gave him a chance to earn that starting role. Had a good first game, but was absolutely terrible afterwards. He’s a young guy so they gave him some time to see if he can overcome the adversity and he didn’t, and they decided to move him to the PR. I have no issues with giving a young guy more then one start to try and get better but the team has to see there’s consequences for not preforming.

If your interested Diago Pavia who is on the neg list is featured on an episode of SEC Football Any Given Saturday on Netflix. Was the QB when Vandy upset #1 Alabama last year. Would fit right in on this team.

Bridges ultimate demise is no surprise after the abomination he called coverage vs. Calgary. He was Calgary's X factor in their victories. Pressure Vernon Adams check, move him out of the pocket check, cover the receivers downfied because all Vernon Adams knows is to launch it as far as he can throw when he is pressured....nope Bridges not within 20 yards of the receiver he was running with moments ago because he stopped to see what was happening. He broke the cardinal rule of DBing several times, stuff you learn in Pop Warner, run with your receiver until the whistle blows. You can look back as a DB but the feet gotta keep moving.

I’m surprised bridges didn’t get better. He was around all last year. Seemingly got worse. Had 1 good game. But if a year 2 player getting worse, yup, let him go.

I think Bridges had a really good camp and started the season well, but got into his own head and started making egregious mental errors. When that happens to players at a position of strength, yep you let them walk.
