Goalie
I wasn’t even serious. Honestly liked seeing the fire and the charisma. Sometimes I feel cfl could take a few pointers from the other leagues. Personality sells.

GCn20
It's funny how the guys with an axe to grind against MOS suddenly find no merit in FIFO..when we all know damn well it is the source of the best locker room culture in the CFL. It gives merit to the strong point of MOS's coaching so now it's a sham perpetuated by the media. Alrighty then. FIFO is about fitting in and being a team first guy. Shoes or a colorful personality have bupkus to do with that. Edited June 2 by GCn20 martypants100, Jesse, bb1 and 3 others 5

However, the culture that MOS has set up in his dressing room is by far the best in the league. If the players want to call it FIFO..so be it. They endorse it, and MOS, because it's real, tangible, and above the norm. bb1

I think what we’re saying is that fans trot it out like they know what it means and they don’t. Obviously the room culture is great, you don’t have to be in there to know that or to know MOS has done a great job of that. Just listen to the guys speak and it’s obvious. But we don’t know the inner workings of it. wbbfan, rebusrankin, Jesse and 1 other

Idk how it’s surprising that the same people who booed James wilder for getting 5 yards on 2nd and 10 then flexing do the same to Mitchell doing the exact same kind of thing. That type of action isn’t a strong fit in a good culture. Jesse and blue85gold

We don't know if it was drink or smoke. No question he should be held to account and it absolutely doesn't FIT IN..... but let's not take it to the extreme of "Kenny Lawler is always drinking and driving" which is sort of implied here. The FIFO thing has become somewhat of a marketing thing among a certain group of fans and now that it's popular, it isn't cool anymore... I get it..... ...But I still like that there's a code of conduct within the team which is seemingly self policed among the veterans/leaders. It doesn't mean there won't be mistakes made and guys slipping a bit... But I like knowing that guys are at least seemingly being held to account. You can love the code of conduct and recognize that a player celebrating on the field has nothing to do with it. 1 hour ago, wbbfan said: Idk how it’s surprising that the same people who booed James wilder for getting 5 yards on 2nd and 10 then flexing do the same to Mitchell doing the exact same kind of thing. Or the last team with a strong culture that did? On the other hand the toxic teams have had lots of those guys. Guys acting a fool is 100% a part of team culture. JohnnyAbonny
I really have no idea but I would assume FIFO means more like “don’t be a malcontent in the room and do your job on the field within the scheme.” I don’t think it means “have no personality” I doubt the leadership cares about the colour of a guys gloves. In Mitchell’s case FIFO definitely means he’ll have to catch a football pretty soon though. Bigblue204 and Jesse 1
Super Duper Negatron
I think all we are proving here is that it's easy to claim you have the best room or culture when you are winning. The second the winning stops is when you really see what the culture is like. kelownabomberfan, BBlink, wbbfan and 2 others 2

They were doing it despite not winning Grey cups. A lot of different things make up a culture though. One of the biggest things from what I've heard is how close knit the entire team is. Not cliquey like other places. Celebrating after a good play is a grey area IMO. It depends on a lot. I'm hoping that the guys in the room will rein someone in if they are being stupid about it. Mitchell has only been here for a couple weeks. Noeller, WildPath and bb1
Noeller
Based on what we've heard and "heard", it seems like maybe Andrew Harris was not very FIFO at the end of his run in Winnipeg.... DE Owen Hubert made the practice roster. He was our 8th round pick . They also put Ian Leroux on the suspended list as he is going back to school. He is probably our next long snapper after Benson retires. Pretty darned good, if you ask me. wbbfan

The legendary Irish Paul of Winnipeg has made it his go-to place, since the closing of Stone Angel Brewing. That's all you need to know.
