1 collaros. Didn’t play well enough to win

2 hall idiotic blitz calls that cost us the game

3 mos roster management. No extra cover db, terrible punter, not pulling Zach, Jackson, playing biggie, no dl rotation, not starting Eli at c. Onside punt too lmao.

dishonourable mention to buck for calling about 1/3 of a good game. Houston’s poor tackling too.

Brady lawler Demski holm Eli gauthier Jackson Cole wj and grant played well. Gauthier especially. Biggie and kyrie were not in our top 3 best lbers tnite. Points to roadhouse for gutting out a tough one.

1.  ZC
Olivera did his job....but the passing game just not good enough.   Becoming an alarming trend in Playoffs/Cups

2.  Houston
In between his picks,  you get giant cushions and lousy tackling.  No picks  - but we sure got the rest of the package today

3.   Hall, ST's MOS

Hall couldn't make adjustments to an O run by Cody Fajardo.  Gross.
Kick coverage and punting was consistent -as in not simply good enough
You can sometime have too much of anything - including loyalty.  You have to make some dispassionate decisions to put the best roster on the field.   Number of time, this didn't happen this season....including today.

1. Zach. He got outplayed by Faj

2. Hall. The play calling was questionable

3. Special teams. Coverage was a huge problem. Kicking was bad. It's prob on coaching there. Sp teams tells me that our depth sucks **** and osh needs to answer why

4. Houston. Just nope

1. Why did we not just feed Oliveira when on the 9 yd line?  That is bad play calling from Pierce.

2. Houston was garbage and our dline pressure disappeared.  Why blitz?  It was consistently stopped. No Intensity from this defense.

3. MOS for allowing Bighill to play.  He was a liability and that first  TD in the 2nd half was exploited.

4. aging vets on this team.  The younger hungrier team showed up and wanted the game more.

This loss is worse than last year.

IMO - Montreal's primary game plan was stacking the box to stop Brady & generate pressure on passing downs.  This worked - because ZC kept trying to throw downfield & was having trouble with the extra pressure.  It's been the story of his season.

On offense, max protect worked because the Bombers kept on trying to blitz.  As the Als must have been hoping they would.

But the game was there in spite of all that. If Lawler high points that throw in the end zone - we most likely win.

Can't put that on Lawler. If Zach had thrown it out to the corner, the DB couldn't have made a play on it.

Yup underthrown ball unfortunately.

Perfect scenario for ZC to throw the over the right shoulder of KL drag his feet to keep inbounds catch for TD.

yeah it wasn't even the DB covering Lawler, he beat his guy super clean. I think Collaros didn't see the db leave Demski to get under the pass. Needed to be up and over everyone not just assume lawler is just wide open because he beat his man clean.

He should have seen Demski in line with his db who had his back turned to the sideline (where Demski is heading). That's an easy read, and easier throw and Demski likely scores.

It was a play where really only one of two things should've happened... TD pass over the top to Lawler... or TD pass underneath to Demski... instead what happened was an underthrown ball to Lawler which lead to a pick...

It was Cover 2, basically what Tampa 2 looks like in Canada.  They flooded the deep so Lawler had a bit of time to the flag, but the corner at curl/out depth also has time to bail out on a corner route.  The corner who made the pick was reading the QB and covering zone.  I personally think the pass to Demski would have been a pick six should Collaros have thrown it, by the same DB.  That DB is baiting that throw.  At best Demski would have got lit up.  If Lawler times up a jump for that ball it's a easy TD.

The best play likely would have been to back them off with a pump and take it to the endzone himself.

1 - Zach

2 - Hall calling a terrible game also starting injured Bighill and starting Houston.

3 - Punting and kick coverage was atrocious.   For the love of god find someone who can kick the ball it can't be that hard to find someone?

I laughed earlier in the season when O'Shea said they were adjusting their kicking and coverage schemes and were close to figuring it out. That was BS by him then as it is now.

Watch it again. The db has his back to the sideline while Demski is running by him. Put it to the sideline and demski is either getting in or getting close and Prukop is getting in.
