Maybe Zach takes less to keep the team together, example a raise to $450,000 from $410,000 instead of going for $500,000.

Hopefully but he could ask whatever he wants now, back to back champion, mvp of the regular season and playoffs,19-2 as a starter or something around that.

I have not. I started following him on Twitter about a month ago because he gives no shits lol. Especially hates Hulk Hogan which is a lot of fun.

You do realize it's not really him posting and that it is someone else doing it as a parody right?

471 yards is a breakout season??? :42_confused:

And lots of bad drops....Schaefer Baker is their better Canadian reciever...Lenius is only getting a shot on how he looks...he's not overly fast either . Funny part now he was released he can sign back anywhere in cfl as well upon being cut as well ..so no guarantee he will go back there

To be fair it was a short season but yeah, its a reach. The NFL does reach some times for underperforming guys who fit a certain mold.

Isnt the option window thing open? Why did they release him to go shouldnt he have just been able to sign or w/e?

Well his contract was up in Feb so if he went down there and gets cut in TC he still could have signed anywhere. I dont really see him as an NFL player. I dont think he has the speed or explosivness to get off the line without the waggle. Interesting that he lost all that weight between 2019-2021. He played TE in college in the states and I think that would pprobably be a better position for him in the NFL.

Shaffer Baker is better and morre explosive. It does suck losing Canadians to the NFL though especially a guy that is 24/25 and you think could be a building block in the future. Super nice guy and is dating a regina girl so hopefully he comes back if he shakes loose.

Average of 34 yards a game. If thats a breakout Kenny Lawler should be inducted into the hall of fame any day now.

Lenius' season was comparable to 'Sheeds. Bailey did a lot more in terms of blocking, and had more production but played with the best qb in the league. Lenius played with a CJ, who could throw a riding lawn mower down field about as well as a football.

52 catches on 72 attempts, 629 yards, 214 yac, 5 tds, for a 12.1 avg and a long of 50.

37 catches on 55 attempts, 471 yards, 128 yac, 4 tds, for a 12.7 avg, and a long of 53.

Sheed is 6'1 208, and Lenius is 6'5 220.  And to be fair, Lenius' 4.7 40 time is pretty similar to most of our wrs. He took a step that guys like simonise and peterson never did. And out produced woli the last 2 years.  Though woli has never gotten the chance he had in his 2nd year here. And he blocks even more than Bailey. If bailey had a better start to the year he'd probably be getting a bit of NFL interest too.

The NFL loves size. But im not sure what all these NFL teams are seeing in Lenius. Nothing he brings really stands out. Im quite surprised he's gotten all this attention down south to be honest.

To be fair a futures contract really means you're TCF and will be cut in camp. A guy like desjarlais isnt gonna take that, he'd want a real contract.

We see the NFL grabs cfl guys that are questionable some times. Who was that return man we cut mid season and went to the vikings or some thing?
