So, do the Riders have a bus right outside the stadium, or is it parked on Pembina so that they don't look quite so desperate?

McCallister is so much better than Choudja. Ugh.

I like Mccallister better too, wonder if he was unwilling to take a PR spot?

In all probability a few of our cuts will get a look see somewhere else, lets see who gets asked to stay in town and what cuts from other teams come here

I knew we'd release either Nevis or Bryant. Says a lot about Richardson too

Every year, Nevis seems to be:

a) on the bubble

b) then he makes the team

Nah, that's nothing. Jake Thomas definitely beat that.

According to fans maybe. I think Nevis is underrated and the coach seems to love him. Spoke well of him in one interview during TC. He made the team before this second preseason game

Glad they kept Richardson....the guy is a bull rushing beast....Nevis makes the grade again...I thought with his late  fa signing he had ideas of going elsewhere...No real surprises although I thought McAllister would have hung around....Guess he thinks another club will give him a shot...Tough call on letting him walk or Choudja for sure

Letting McCallister go will be a mistake akin to us letting Shaq Richardson go a few years ago. Sometimes you have to wonder what more guys need to do.

Knocking Roh, Jeffcoat, or Jefferson off the roster was a tall order. We may have offered him PR and he turned it down.

As well as cousin Greenberg, right?

Starting 2 Canadian receivers with one backup. Unless they figure the second backup will be Oliveira

It’s like saying you’ll cut Matthews because Lawler played better in two preseason games. Even if it’s true, they serve completely different purposes. Neither Petermann or Schrot will ever be a great WR. They are pure slot guys. If Matthews or Adams go down, we literally have no one to replace either of them other than pushing Wolitarsky back outside. All the import guys who have performed well in camp are slots.

Pretty sure Whitehead would be the first to go in if an American receiver goes down.  Wouldn’t be surprised at all if we brought in Coombs though now that we are down to just Petermann.

I don’t dispute that we have great players in front of him, but Calgary never seems to have trouble retaining these guys.

Harris / Oliveria will be the 4th receiver.

Also take note. there's one spot left on PR, so maybe Walters is waiting for a good pickup from other teams'  garbage.

They were also targeting Rush out of the backfield..

Also notable from the moves Saturday:

– Two players who made at least one start were released in Corey Washington (three starts) and Tyneil Cooper (five games played).

– Tariq Lachance, a sixth-round pick this year, was released. Of the club’s nine 2019 draft picks, seven are on the squad or practice roster: OL Drew Desjarlais (1st round, 4th overall); DL Jonathan Kongbo (1/5); RB Brady Oliveira (2/14); DL Connor Griffiths (3/25); OL Tui Eli (4/34); DB Nick Hallett (7/61), and DB Kerfalla Exumé (8/70).

Let's wait and see where some of our cuts will end.

Our WR corps is  stacked.

Disappointed about McCallister (I wonder if the late major penalty played a role)

Brandin Bryant bring cut is a surprise, but I thought Richardson was a challenger to take a DT spot when we signed him ( I thought Nevis was the higher salary so more in jeopardy).

*Seven of this year's nine draft picks are either on the roster or PR.

*I like what they did for PR players. My only preference would have been keeping McCalister somehow.

On Mathews, I’d say yes, for the one game anyways.

Is the veteran-American-counting-against-the-ratio-in-the-event-of-an-injury rule in effect this year?... if both cdn receivers get hurt, peterman and whitehead come in and Adams now counts as a national...
